wow didnt think this would be this popular, i had seen the c2v12 build thread couple of months ago but i was already half way thru this, i think they are very different cars as i think the other one is space framed and mine is a solid shell,
not sure on the power the evo came with a print out for 316bhp at the wheels but you never know when you buy a car whats really going on with it soo when it done will have the map checked on it,im hoping for more power next year thought i would sort the shell this year,
as for the time scale iv been on with it just over 6 months and as already mentioned someone said must be over 200hrs in it but i honestly dont know,
i had cancer last year soo i personally think im working slowly on it just doing bits and bobs as i go and when i feel like it just about everything on the car has had to be made to fit, when i look back at the pictures its come along way
thanks Will

Hey did you email PPC magazine thanks Will
I did. Linked to this, as well as mwstewart's Fiesta and the amazing electronic Civic coupe. I'm sure there are other great builds going on but those just happen to have caught my attention. Will and co aren't a million miles from you either, they're in Lincs.

Got some 4pot brembos off evo5 but they were too big for the other rims but had these off my other evo they are just a different offset to clear the claiper,
Got the exhaust fabricated up using the exhaust off the evo cut down and a couple of bends welding in, and made a rolled tip for it out of some round bar welded round
I went for loud side of things as gettin a back box in there was tight
so thats where im at with the car now,the front bumper will have the grills back not the holes you see there
Thanks for looking Will

That exhaust is a thing of beauty, I have a similar item on my Civic Type R - it's going to be loud. Mine idles at 103db and when I tried to get a static revs at 4500rpm it clipped the noise meter and would only give an "error" reading even at a distance of 9 or 10 feet away - not track friendly in the slightest. I think your car will sound bloody great, and is sure to spit a flame on every gearshift in the upper end of the rev range!Got the exhaust fabricated up using the exhaust off the evo cut down and a couple of bends welding in, and made a rolled tip for it out of some round bar welded round

Is that the equivalent of the electronic scales reading "One at a time, please?" Small children are going to cry when this thing goes past...

Well it has the standard mitsubishi SAS (like a basic anti lag) activated which makes it give plenty of pops and bangs with a normal stainless exhaust
Get it switched off. ALS on a road car will kill the turbo. Even on GRPA turbos which are designed to run ALS their life is shortened if you're off the throttle a lot. Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
