Saw a mint one of these the other day, really caught my eye and it isn't something I'd usually look at.
Be good to see another one back on the road !

Good work op! That bodywork is shining up a treat. Bet you're glad you didn't bow to the peer pressure early on in the other thread and attempt to the drive down in it - I imagine it smells pretty funky! Shall be watching with much interest

Muf90 said: That looks identical to the one i had 5/6 yrs ago, even down to the issue with the door, roof lining and out of place alloys. If you have a set of locking nuts on there with one slightly rounded of then it definitly is (previous owner never supplied the key i never removed them before i flogged it)
Great cars i have had two of them so far and would love to have another, couple of points i would be wary of:
Check whether it has the electronic abs these are meant to have a fail safe, mine just tried to kill me, rip the thing out if it goes wrong and the pedal box and servo from a TD is a direct swap. Both of mine suffered from fuel starvation if there was less than quarter of a tank and your pushing it around corners, so keep it topped up,
Good to see another being kept alive might be french but when it hits full power at 6500 rpm there great fun to drive. Have fun! The registration hasn't changed, just the placing of the letters. It still has G188 YAD on the windows. It doesn't seem to have ABS either. We looked last night but saw no light or abs module in the engine bay.

Not bad for a 255 quid car OP, i nearly fell out of my chair when i saw the pic of you scooping water out of it with a glass though Looks like the car cleans up nicely though, a new bonnet and some replacement trim and it should be looking nice again. Have you checked for rust though? Oh, and cheers on the Cock au vin!

Would be interesting so see what those alloys would fetch on ebay... end the auction on, say, Saturday morning 02.00 am and some drunk chav may bid, oh, 255 quid for them to put on their shopping trolley.

Double check that the water in the foot well isn't coming from the heater matrix, mine was caused by this and I thought it was rain water too (until the engine temp starting shooting up!)

Excellent choice of car sir Muf90 said: Check whether it has the electronic abs these are meant to have a fail safe, mine just tried to kill me, rip the thing out if it goes wrong and the pedal box and servo from a TD is a direct swap. +1 too that; mine failed too. The citroen Pneumatic rear suspension can be a pig to fix too. Share parts with the Citroen BX16 Get a later model steering rack on it too Still wish I'd never sold mine Now lives in Romania
