Hello everyone smile

I never knew when I would own something worthy of posting in this section but the day has finally come!

This afternoon I dropped off my first car...

And collected this beauty...

These are the dealer pictures. I would have liked to have got some bigger ones of my own but I've just got in, it is dark and it is now filthy after 6 hours of driving. driving

What a car though. Coming from the Fiesta it feels so raw and planted. I'm pissed off I have to sleep and work before I get to drive it again frown

Thanks.

I love the Scottish Motor Services showroom. Always made walks into town that much nicer...

Is that a 1.8 Arizona model you got? The Enkei alloys really suit the car. Also, if you don't know the road already, get yourself down to the B769 from Newton Mearns to Stewarton driving

It is the 1.8 Icon. I really wanted a MK2 in black in the Enkei wheels so when this came up local after searching for a few months I had to have it. It was a little more than I wanted to pay but I've been waiting patiently for four years building up the NCD so went for it.

I don't know the road, I usually head north towards and beyond The Trossachs but I will check it out.

Are you local to Scottish Motor Services too?
I used to be local, but living way down south now, away from most of the good roads irked

The B769 was my favourite nearby road for a quick hoon. Lots of undulations, good corners, and often lightly trafficed. The Trossachs was better for longer hoons though (the A817 onto the A814 are nice, as is this little loop that takes in Duke's Pass).

Looks great mate. Great feeling when you upgrade from your first car to a "proper" one.

I tried the B769 this evening and had a blast. The road surface was a bit dodgy in places and it was wet but I had a good time. A lad in a Polo GTI turned onto it just behind me and although I was enjoying myself, I didn't know the road and I'm still getting used to the car so I couldn't shake him frown

I can't believe how good the car is though. It is everything I expected and more. I can't stop driving it!
edited route : https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=Woodlands+Rd&...

and the Newton Mearns to Stewton is good but go further an loop back to Nielston: https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=Woodlands+Rd&...

that final stretch to Nielston is good fun if the cars not to hard as the peaks n troughs of that road will lift the car at some point of the ground if your doing excess warp speed, you will turn and go back for more so maybe go over first time at a reasonable 50mph to gauge it

and nice car as well. biggrin

I live in Neilston myself, both roads are utterly fantastic fun!
