Was the supercharger from a kit, or did you have to fabricate stuff up to bolt it on?

Is the same one they have on the MINI's?

Mini 'charger was bought on its own. Added to this were:

the TR Lane mounting kit (which needed modification my my angle grinder and a friend's weld set - bit disappointing!)
induction pipework with bypass valve built by a forum contact
pulleys belts and other bits and bobs

Very cost effective performance increase but not a five minute job!

That's stunning! Agree about the chrome mirrors but that's an easy and small change. The Rota's suit it perfectly, would want to do all the mods you've done, minus the supercharger and black screen frame to my tired old MX5.

I don't even want to look out the window at it now paperbag

Looks great!

And - its the absolute spit of mine - Same colour, same year (though mines an NA6C), same wheels, same splitter etc...

Ironically I've been doing the complete opposite of you - changing the screen surround from black back to red, getting rid of the side mount plate etc. Yours looks great though, makes me want to get mine finished!

Love the mirrors - might have a look for a set of those myself.

Good restoration efforts there! What sort of bhp is yours knocking out?

Seems like the mirrors are a marmite issue. I like mine - match the door handles and chrome rim on the wheels.

Also, don't laugh but my plan has always been based on a single photo:

As you can see, silver mirrors!

Nice MX5, would love to drive a supercharged one some day, must suit the car perfectly.

Now just ad some water/meth injection, up the boost and add another 30 hp smile

(a fellow 924 turbo owner have had some great success with that kit, our cars are non IC as standard)

That's heading towards Staffin after heading over the Quith-rang (sp?) isn't it? great little bit of tarmac. I'm fairly sure I've got a few similar photo's myself biggrin
I nearly tipped the Micra on the hairpin by attempting a handbrake turn and catching the camber on the inside, good fun but lesson learned. :S

Cracking wee Eunos mate.

I would love to get mine either Supercharged or turbo'ed but trying to halt the spending for a wee while as, in the 1.5 years since I bought her as a fresh import, i've spent another £3k or so on various bits.

Saying that, I wouldn't mind a Hard Dog roll bar like yours - meets with the retro look i'm going for! biggrin

I also plan to fit an OEM lip at some stage but suspect this may cause clearance issues with my ramps.

Cheers Chimp. The spending gets addictive of course!

I am very happy with the look and quality of the Hard Dog.

The lip doesn't cause me much bother. It's the back section of the zorst that seems to catch but not often.

Updated for October 2020 with pics on the first post. Still going strong. Spent the summer of 2019 in Paris where it didn't miss a beat in horrificly hot temperatures.

Was joined by a big-hitting garage buddy in spring 2020 but still very much holds its own in my affections.

byebye yes we have a place in the North Pennines so I'm often bombing around the Alston / Allendale / Banchland / Hexham area. The MX5 is so good on those roads, especially if the sun's out cloud9

Awesome, where abouts? I love it out that way, I'm over near Durham but if the weather's nice I'll do my usual loop! I'll give you a wave of I see you again!
