So for insurance purposes I presume you have a motor traders policy as the vehicles are being bought and sold as stock (considering you pay tax too)?
You don't need to presume, you need to read this & the GTR thread that makes that clear.

Nice car OP, I am also looking forward to finding out what's next on the list smile
Ok I'll just make it simpler, I'm too busy to go reading through posts etc easier to simply ask the question.

Really like TVR Tamoras too.

No I don't have a motortraders policy as they all say I am too young and want around £7000, they said if I had premises it would be considerably cheaper. As they are personal cars registered in my name they need to be covered by a normal policy. I will always use admiral as I have said before NO ONE can touch them on price for my age and the cars I own and I have now experienced what they are like when paying out after the hail claim and eventually they were very fair!
Interesting, thanks for replying.
Enjoy your holiday BTW!

Hats off to you, if anything for your dedication. I hate buying and selling cars...I always feel someone's robbing me somewhere! But to be eeking profits from those trades I raise my hat again. I just don't have the patience for that kind of thing.
I got bought a Porsche 944 when I was 24 (which I really couldn't afford to run to be honest) and I got a lot of raised eyebrows from friends and from a rational point of view they were right. But you can't explain to people the addiction to cars, which, like many of you reading here, was with you at an early age. Everytime I flicked those headlights up I was 8 years old again. And as far as I know thats the closest you get to owning a time machine. Worth every penny.

I figure - spend money on what makes you happy - not on what other people think that you should spend it on.

Another very important question:

1. What kind of female attention does the Ferrari give you compared to the GTR?

whistle
Wondered how long it would take for that question :P Having only had it a week or so its hard to tell yet but being single for the first time in 5 years I will find out soon I guess lol off on holiday tomorrow for a week so she will be tucked away under her cover whilst I am gone!
All I have to say is go on my son. We are the same age(ish), and oh my god driving a 360 spider would be outrageously pimp.

Great car OP, hope to get one - one day. Fantastic achievement for someone your age.

Apreciate you've not had it long, but does the service history suggest horrendous running costs / bills?

As for the negatives comments from others on this thread, all I can say is that I'll be over the moon if my boy can achieve what you have.

Cheers

Pete

Wow.. I just want to say how inspired I am by you, you yourself probably don't realize the full extent of your achievements and how you are an inspiration to younger car enthusiasts like myself. You kind of remind me of Robert Himler (guys if you have not heard of this guy check his videos out on youtube) Keep doing what you are doing man and quite frankly F**k the haters.

Agreed. I have said it before but tranter is an inspiration and I would be over the moon with half of his achievements.

I have just recently known about that Robert Himler bloke, but he has a great fleet (and girlfriend), and I do like his video's. The Lamborghini he tunes are amazing. Well worth looking his video's. smile

Chris, Car looks stunning and I hope you are still enjoying it! I miss it very much! I was looking back at your email with the photos of things you have done to it only the other day. If you ever think of selling her I would genuinely be interested in buying it back! hope your well

Wow, that Tamora is gorgeous. Hmm, this could be a downward spiral for me, seeing that...

OP, congrats on your first Ferrari, you've got a great story. Best of luck to you.

Or maybe cars are cat D unrecorded purchased for a small sum then fixed and sold on for a larger profit.

Or maybe he is just a hard working genuine lad who has a natural eye for a bargain and spends his money on cars.

If he's any of the first 3 then you sir are a legend, Either way he clearly owns the car, anyone that owns a Ferrari is doing well for themselves.

Although Its not exactly a Enzo, Its a second hand mass produced Ferrari 360 available to anyone from about £30k for the hardtop.

I cant see what the problem 30k would get you a good Spec new A3 or a second hand 10 year old Ferrari Or as some people would have you believe in other threads a week away with the family.

I have already ask about this and nearly got my bks chewed off and served to me on a plate, nothing adds up no matter how he tries to justify it.

Congratulations, that's a stunning car.

I was genuinely gutted for you seeing pictures of your GTR, but it seems you have everything in order now.

Good man, a proper role model for our younger members, and old gits alike.

Makes me realise I should have worked harder, I'll get there one day.

Ignore the naysayers and people giving you grief. You've clearly worked hard and earned your cars, and are looking after your family, a true example to us all.

Again congratulations, and enjoy it. I've not read the whole thread, but as you like to change up a lot, can I ask what might be next?

To add some pure comedy value to this thread and lighten it up a bit - can you please post a pic of Turner sitting in your car wearing Ferrari cap, shirt, jacket, shoes, gloves etc.

Did you not read my post in response to yours a couple of pages back, here it is again to make it slightly easier for you:

i am not jealous, i am skeptical

I have driven and do drive different cars every day of every week

Ferrari's , Lambos, Maserati's etc

and the tax issue is irrelevant

If he's earning and making enough to upgrade every 6 months

then I think I would have a deposit on a house
Reading through the last few threads, I can't see it's that difficult to understand....

He works for a car dealership who are good enough to let him buy a few cars on the side that he runs for a while and then sells on.

He then uses this profit, coupled with his earnings to trade up to the next car.

At the end of the day he's mortgage and kid free, so buying cars at this level isn't all that difficult.

People chose to do things differently, I'd bought my second house at the same age as the OP, and wait a few years for the Fez, he's chosen to spend his money on cars first.

OP tell me if what I've written is vastly incorrect?
To which the OP replied:

tranter5 said:
correct I have only been working alongside another car dealer for around 3 months though which is handy for selling the level of car I am at now
He's not doing anything illegal, just spending his wages, coupled with the profit, on cars rather than on a mortgage/rent/bills etc. I can't see why that's so hard to comprehend?

We don't need your sort, coming on here, talking sense...

My friend spent over £600 a month on a brand new Exige while living with his parents.

To a lesser degree, I saved up while living at my mother's and bought an Elise before I got a mortgage. Not everybody is in a position or wants to buy a house as soon as they're 20.

Don't particularly see anything that "doesn't add up" - if I'd have stuck around for another couple of years rather than flogging the Elise, I'm sure I could have also spent a fortune on cars.

I would research a bit into Himler if I were you, all I'm saying is that not everything is accurate wink

Anyway I don't doubt tranter, He has done well and I'm looking forward to see what he gets next. smile
