At the risk of incurring anger by adding another post... hehe

Lexspace, would you like to run another thread about this (if you're allowed to)? I know that several of us would be genuinely interested!

James, it'll probably have to go through IVA and some points-based thing, but I'd think it'll go down as what the chassis is - an LS400. Should confuse the hell out of more than a few of Her Majesty's traffic police...
It'll be IVA'd as an Amateur Built Vehicle and be registered as it's own Make and Model. It needs to be dissimilar to any existing Marque for copywrite purposes.

A know someone who has their car registered as a POS ULC (Piece Of st - You Little )

So how do you go about getting it registered as such? Road-legal and all? Is it the same process through which kit cars go?

Have a read here..

https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-registration/radically-...

...which will in turn take you to the IVA Test Guidelines.

Sorry to drag this back up again, brilliant project love it! This is my first post after lurking unregistered for a number of years.
I have a crazy project that will be getting underway shortly also involving a Lexus V8, a FiAt and a Mazda.
Similar monocoque cutting / transplanting to be included. I'm very interested in the IVA process and have been briefly looking through the manual.
Due to the complexities of the IVA I'm still deciding whether it should be a pure track toy only or if I can get it through an IVA, build it to a decent comfort level with most of the toys the Lexus had and have a unique luxury(ish) Fiat coupe 4.0 32v turbo GT.
Perhaps I'll make a new thread if the kind folks commenting on this thread would be interested?
