So forgive me for this if I'm being dense, but you're chopping the rear of the Lexus off ready to drop the Espace on top? And in the earlier photos you've cut the front and the floor out of the Espace? (Have I got this right?) I'm in awe of the ambition of your plan but I'd be grateful for a few lines of explanation each time if you have time, so I can understand what you're doing and what's coming next.
I believe the boot has to be taken off the Lexus so the espace goes over the top and then he will just have to fabricate/weld up the small gap he should be left with! It's no problem to fill a few spaces with steel plate Tony427 said:

Here's my most simple way to explain the basics of this build and why i'm cutting in certain places
There is obviously a little bit more to it than that but i hope you get the idea , with regard to road usage its a matter of getting it finished first then getting it IVA'd , once the shells are mated together i will probably strip off all the suspension and brakes to give them all a good overhaul and replace as necessary ,so getting it on the road is not on the list of priorities , having said that i cant really foresee any problems when the time does come.
OP.. have a read of this thread

There is a website called build threads which I'm sure some of you will have seen , thee are quite a few "chassis swaps" as they call them on there , a yellow mustang is particularly good

This mustang is very high quality , some other interesting ones in here too the Morris minor in particular

I have eventually finished all the wiring that i wanted to get done, and cut out quite a lot of the wiring that i did'nt want, the loom in the next pic is the loom that goes from the passenger/drivers footwell going rearwards as removed from the car , then the pic after is the same loom after about 3 hours of cutting and chopping , in the pic its not quite completely finished but i did finish it and forget to take a pic -do'h
I cut quite a lot from the main car loom and engine bay loom as well and im happy to report all the things i want to work - still work , and the engine starts and runs as sweet as it ever did - PHEW !!
I have only really managed a couple of other jobs this week because of work but as my work has consisted of opening and fitting lots of shiny new bits - i dont feel so bad
The manifolds are for a Renault V6 , they are not the absolute finest exhaust work i've ever seen but they are pretty good.
Beneath the rear bumper on the Espace was a rather sturdy mounting bracket/towbar mount, as it had been leaning up in my way for a few weeks i took the grinder to it , i will still need it to mount the rear bumper and retain a degree of strength so did'nt go too silly but have made a weight saving of 4KG
The other job i got started on was a rear strut brace , i'm basically making it to assist in holding everything straight and true whilst i cut the roof off, but it won't hurt to keep it on the finished car

Loving this post, enjoy and appreciate the determination and creativity. I have one question now though. Why a manifold for a Renault V6? Aren't you keeping with the Lexus V8? Looking forward to more updates!
Sorry i should have made it more clear - The V6 manifold and Goodridge hose are for a car at work not my project The wheels i ordered have arrived today , i was told there could be up to 4 weeks wait if they had to be manufactured so went ahead with the order, 5 days later they arrive , a little earlier than i need them because i need to get the new suspension first but at least i have them now.
you cant really see the size of them so i put a 15" ford RS wheel next to them to show scale
