Excellent. I can't help but think this would look good with a subtle roof chop!

I did leave the current wheels after I'd 'completed' it but to me they just didn't seem special enough. I'll pop a pic up tomorrow. Is the roof chop comment a hint ? Haha

Lexspace, I'd LOVE to see this as a two door. In the big scheme of the project would it be much work? I mean it'd be a hell of a lot of work but you've already done the so much.

All that car needs is wider rear wheels and arches and a Renault V8 F1 engine in the back.

It may have been done already though..............

Roof chop - hmmm - well there's 'extra work' and then there's 'ridiculous amount of extra work' , if you can photoshop it though please show me .
Just realised the comment came from mwstewart - he knows all about going the extra mile !!
Don't know if I want to though ...

I'm sure I can photoshop it a lot easier than you can do it! I'll knock something together tomorrow afternoon for you. I slung the Rota wheels on without much thought. I'll see if I can find any Lexus wheels that suit. The wheels are the only thing I'd change on this project.

The photoshopped wheels are a big improvement in my opinion, but I'd suggest refraining from the 2-door conversion, let alone the roof chop. Reworking all the glazing, cutting and welding doors (which would end up being nightmarishly long)... I think you'd just be making a rod for your own back there. Incidentally, with the central driving position, will there be room for a passenger either side of the driver (perhaps set back a bit) a la McLaren F1?

Thank you very much for the pics , I like the 'rota' wheels , and have also grown to like the std Lexus wheels , but the 'jade r' wheels I have I really like , when they are fitted I will need to add some wide arch's , that will prob be the next big job along with mounting the seatbelt

I forgot you had a set of wheels already. What's the full model name? I can also add those and a set of arches too. Give you a bit of inspiration to keep going. Not that you need it judging by this whole thread.

Nah, easy. Just scrape the Espace shell off, and use one from an Avantime instead.

The roof chop looks good, but going the extra mile to reduce the height of the garage and getting the neighbours to drop the height of their houses is maybe a step too far? smile

I think it looks better as a 5 door, with the orginal roof height but the wheels that VRSAndy put on.

As has been said the extra work just to make it a 3 door will be horrendous and expensive.

Keeping it looking as close to a "normal" Espace but with nice wheels appeals to me.

5-door, it must be a 5-door. That's the point isn't it?

Subtle modifications to the exterior with crazy ingredients.

x-pack arches though. Or at least just E30 M3 style bulges.

I love the idea of it as close to standard as possible, just making a rude V8 noise, and having a Lexus engine/wheels/chassis, and a centrally mounted seat, and NO2 and it must have a Baby on Board sticker!

I do like the Rota wheels though. thumbup

My vote would be to keep the 5 doors and leave the roof alone, I mean, all you want is an espace with a v8, not some sci-fi moon buggy thing right?!
