Last time I checked - it was available for £500 , couldn't really warrant buying it
However if there are any lottery winners out there who want to buy it and donate it to the cause , that would be fine by me ......
I'm sure we could have a whip round on PH to contribute to the project VRN. However if there are any lottery winners out there who want to buy it and donate it to the cause , that would be fine by me ......

For the enjoyment this thread has given me I'm happy to chuck in a couple of quid. Start a just giving type site and I'm sure between those of us who've followed it from the beginning we can raise £500. Are you in chaps?
yeah why not , £2-£3 is nothing for all of us PH well built sturdy types.dtmpower said:

Secondly, I own an LS400 and would like to install a nitrous kit. Looking at some basic videos online it looks like a single nozzle dry fogger will be the simplest option to fit. However from looking at your photos from earlier it appears you have used a wet fogger system, I'm guessing this is more practical because the ECM should not need reprogramming to supply the extra fuel? Any pointers/tips on your setup and details of the kit purchased would be much appreciated.

Just a quickie, as although I read this thread ages ago and remember seeing something about how this will be registered for road use etc.
How does one get away with getting such a thing road legal? I've been told that modifying the monocoque means it needs a specific test to be certified and then ends up on a Q plate?
I ask, as I have a rover 45 and a jaguar XJS V12 waiting to become one majestic british gangbang of total unreliability and disappointment.

There are two points here.
1) Registration
2) Road legality
Now I'm not 100% sure which way would be the best way with registration, it's based on a "points" system. You need 8 points to not be a 'Q' but:

You won’t be able to keep your vehicle’s original registration number if one of the following applies:
it has fewer than 8 points
it has a second-hand or altered chassis, monocoque bodyshell or frame
there’s evidence that 2 vehicles have been welded together to form one (ie ‘cut and shut’)
However it may be better to register it as a "kit" https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-registration/kitconvert...it has fewer than 8 points

Get an age-related registration number
You can apply for an age-related number if you can prove you’ve used 2 original major parts along with:
a new monocoque bodyshell, chassis or frame from a specialist kit manufacturer
an altered chassis, monocoque bodyshell or frame from the original vehicle
The registration number will be based on the age of the original vehicle.
Either way it'll need an IVA test (~£500) to be road legal see https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/iva-man... for the requirements. You can apply for an age-related number if you can prove you’ve used 2 original major parts along with:
