As im new here i thought id post up a few pics and abit of info on my R32. The following is copied from another car forum i frequent:

April 2012:
Just thought I'd start a thread to show off my new car! Its a 2007 (57) R32 3dr DSG in DBP with 34k miles on the clock. It has pretty much every extra apart from satnav and parking sensors so im a very happy boy !! The car is in pretty much mint condition apart from a slight ding on the front wing and a couple of marks on top of the rear bumper next to the boot. They will be pretty easy fixes though !!

Heres a couple of quick phone pics:

And one I took today and had a play around with! I'm not too good on computer so if it's sh*t tell me! I won't be offended!! biggrin

I took a few more which ill post up later!

I'm absolutely loving the car! And dsg is just awesome! biggrin

I have got some plans in the pipe line but nothing that will happen straight away!
To do list/wish list:

Full vehicle detail/paint correction
Miltek non-res cat back
Intake of some sort
RNS-510
Oem Bluetooth

Not a massive list or anything awe inspiring, just things that will make the car complete for me! I was thinking about a slight suspension drop, and possibly getting some 19" VMR 710's but it would be the last thing to do as everything else is more important to me!

Thanks for looking, Tom.

As you can see the engine bay is a mess, its covered in road grime and dust. It will be sorted soon though!!

And the bit of damage to the rear bumper. Looks like someone dragged something into/out of the boot!!

I did the flapper mod today and so far I'm liking it! It seems louder at lower revs which is nice, but it's also a little louder at 70mph which I'm not too sure I like! I'll give it a week or so and see how I get on!
Heres a quick vid:

And I also fitted a new badge to the rear:

Not updated this for a while, mainly because ive just been enjoying driving the car!

Since I last posted I've fitted some amber side lights up front:

I've also fitted some led number plate bulbs:

Today I've just finished some work on the rear lights. Firstly I didn't like how the rear lights weren't symmetrical (reverse one side/fog the other) so I set about sorting it out. I removed the red reflector from the rear fog and fitted a red bulb. But as I could still see the dark bulb I removed the white diffuser from the reverse and fitted it. This has now even things up.

I've also been working on sorting out the 4 ring rear light mod. I ordered some fittings and set about it.
So take this:

And these:

Fit them to the car:

Take 12v feed from here:

And you get this:

Admittedly not the best picture but I will get one later as it gets dark. I'm very happy with them! biggrin

Now I just need to save up for coilovers and some bbs ck's !!!

Night time pics:

biggrin

Ive just fitted these:

As you can see I've removed the silver parts with the writing on. I didn't want the silver parts on and I was hoping the paddles would be solid underneath, but there not. I'm now going to source some thin real carbon sheet and cut out the shapes and re-fit them.

Won't have a proper test with them until later as I'm going to let the adhesive set properly!

You need to shorten the IMG front tag on the photos.

Nice looking cars, but the noise is amazing.

Then it all went wrong:

As everyone will be aware, I had my car stolen on the 30th July. It was recovered about 2 weeks later looking slightly worse for ware !!

It was taken to the repair garage about 4 weeks ago for the assessor to decide its fate. They decided it was worth saving so got about repairing it !! yay
I got sent these pics on friday to show me how the car curently stands:

Strip down:

Rebuild:

Ready for the spray booth:

As you can see they have done quite alot to the car up to now, and its just waiting for its turn in the spray booth.
It will be having a complete respray so will come out looking mint !! I cant wait to get it back now !! Just over a week to go !!

Although when i do get it back, ill need to spend £460 on tax, and about £400-500 getting the engine, dsg and haldex serviced !!

I might then treat myself to an RNS-510 if i can find one at the right price !!

I will update with lots of pics once i get it back !! Oh how ive missed that V6 growl !!

Lovely car and I'm sorry to hear it was stolen.

Did it get rolled?

Anyway good luck in getting it fixed and put back to A1 condition!

I hate golfs, but love the r32- every other golf feels like it's missing that growl!

Yeah some little fker stole it then jumped on it! s!

I wanted a payout at first but then once I saw it at the recovery yard I just wanted it back!

It was touch and go at first as to whether it would be repaired or not but I'm glad they said yes!

When people ask me why I want it back, I doubt myself and wonder if I've made the right decision! But i know that once I get it back ill know I've done the right thing! When the car does come back it will be almost like having a new car!

I'll get some pics up once I do get it back! 3 days to go! biggrin

WTF, why steal something with a suitable high value and thenjump on it. The theft is bad enough but the willfull damge gives me a real rage.

I hope it's better than new for you, I understand the feeling of wanting to bring it back to life again.

How did they take it? I bet this time they won't get it as easily!

It's beyond me why someone would want to do that to a car! Just little inbred f@#ks that know no better!

The broke into my house, stole my tv, 2 laptops, slr camera, my coat and all my missus jewellery! They found the key to the car hidden in my underwear draw! It was the first time I'd left they key at home since buying the car! That will teach me! And it still leaves me confused as to whether they came for the house or the car! I don't like thinking about it much!

But, yeah they won't be getting it again, that's for certain! It's been 2 months since the robbery and the house insurance has only just paid out! And it's been an arse ache to get to here!
