I've had a lovely 318iA Convertible since 2009.

I carried out a lot of work on it lately, but I was browsing the classifieds on PH a couple of weeks ago and the next thing I knew I had bought this, this website is dangerous ...

I bought it because of the colour, it's called Coloured Gold and it changes from peach in the morning to orange in the afternoon to gold at night.

It has a full BMW service history, lots of options and most importantly, a M54 straight-six.

Very nice, shame the screen in there is cracked. Colour is lovely though, and looks in good condition. Surely one of the most appealing BMW shapes ever?

Very nice, excellent colour! Strange to see a facelift 53 plate if I'm not wrong... I went from a 318 to a 330 myself, great cars, any plans for it?

Mine is a facelift '03, so nothing strange there to be honest. I love this colour OP. The BMW individual cars can really have some great combinations sometimes.

Excellent colour, it's like a copper not disimilar to that on the Peugeot 206 GTi's. It doesn't look like the screen is cracked either? It's displaying a sat-nav screen...

Very nice. A great change to the swathes of blue and black 330Ci's out there that look like 2.0 diesels!

Love that.

Been looking at these a fair bit recently and would really like an individual colour, possibly estoril or velvelt blue.

Nav screen doesn't look cracked to me.

Lush. I very nearly went to view this two weeks ago (it's local to me). Was a bit out of budget though. You've done well. Lovely car.

Lovely indeed. Never ever seen that colour, unless it's the same colour that you more commonly see on E46 Compacts? At this rate I think I might follow the pack with a 330 petrol. Sick of impending bills/injector issues with the 530d.

Kinda used to the half decent fuel economy now though out of a big car.. And I've promised myself a V8 should I go back to a petrol.

I'm averaging 28mpg in my Sport Saloon, they don't go badly... I think it's a perfect amount of power for B road blasting, enough to get a wriggle on but not enough to get you in to much trouble.

Yes, I think a facelift Sport/M Sport coupé in Silver Grey is one of the best looking cars of last decade.

I'm going to get the wheels refurbished in black chrome, the same finish as my 318iA.

I'm getting 22 mpg at an average speed of 15 mph around North West London's suburbs, which I think is reasonable. wackojacko summarised the performance perfectly, it's enough to make passengers go eek and to make me want to take the long way home but not enough to make it into an animal. I passenger in an E92 M3 from time to time, that's an animal.

I think that the price I paid was fair wink

No, it's not the same colour. I had been considering a Cd but considering my usage, I think that this makes more sense.

In response to all of posts regarding the colour, which is nearly all of the posts, this is from the BMW Individual brochure for the facelift coupé and convertible ...

"BMW Individual paint finishes have one particularly exclusive quality: the so-called “changing” effect is an elegant attribute made possible by special pigmentation. It means that the colour changes in fine nuances depending on the angle of light."

Thanks for the comments.
