£3.5k seems like a bit of a bargain too.

T'were it that simple.

Plus fitting, plus handling pack, plus tuning comes out at c. £6,000.
Probably need wheels and tyres - maybe even brakes to fully appreciate it all.
It's not quite as simple (or cheap) as bolting on the kit.

I just don't have £6-8,000 to spare even if I wanted to, which I'm not sure I do at the moment.
It may be interesting to try one out, but mine's my daily car - it would be a waste.

LG, did you read it...?

blurb said:
With 280bhp and 210lbft available under your right foot, the BRZ/GT86 becomes a very different animal without losing any of its ‘daily driver’ appeal.
See! You NEED it. wink

I'd fit the SC kit without the handling pack to start with. The regular car can handle the power upgrade.

Can do a www.podiespaydayloans.com application for you. A very, very reasonable 4873894723897% APR for PHers.

Your car may be repossessed if you do not keep up payments

yes When you consider the cost of the car new, it's not much money. Infact, if Toyota made a GT86 S and added 5k to list price, they'd sell like hot cakes!

FTR, I just spoke to Litchfield Imports.
Install is not as bad as I'd feared at c. four hours labour -- however, -- they recommend the exhaust system which is c £1,500 on top.

So we're looking at £5.5k before adding the handling pack which is another £1k.
I think the novelty of skinny tyres would wear thin in short order with 280BHP so wheels and tyres will also be required; another £1,500-2,000?

Try as I might, I just can't do it.
I simply haven't got £9,000 to spunk on my car.

Is this the same exhaust as their non-supercharged "Performance Pack"?

I emailed Litchfield to ask if the kits were complementary, but received no reply mad

So, I just bought a BRZ! Still running in, but it already feels superb.

A couple of very minor annoyances. The USB port doesn't charge my phone, and the trip computer doesn't have a range function.

I have the optional Subaru Pioneer SatNav (it's actually just a regular double-din AVIC-F940BT head unit), which gets a kicking in most reviews, but I think it's perfectly fine so far. I was driving south from Derby yesterday, and it alerted me to slow traffic on the M1, which was backed up by the gantry signs, so impressed with that.

Neither worries me as weren't expected. Two fag lighter sockets to charge from and if I get north of 280 miles out of a tank I'm happy.

Sold as DAB ready though - mine's over a year old and still no sign of DAB conversion module. irked

What oil do you use? The manual states 0w20, which seems rare, and expensive!

I'll check when I get home, but I bought 4 or 5 litres from a trader on the oc forum - it was original toyota product. TBH I've not really used any in 15,000 miles. I topped up with maybe 0.5 litre just after 1,000 miles 'run-in' but it didn't really need it. It's not needed any until 12,000 mile service when it was changed by Toyota anyway.
