Is that disc not on the wrong way round? The grooves should be positioned so that the internal veins fling out heat as the wheel rotates. Looking at that picture, it seems like heat would get trapped inside the disk as air is being forced in, not out.I could well be wrong! I would look at my RB5, but that's running aftermarket AP's so no help there. I've been looking at pictures of P1's with the same discs, but I'm no wiser as some people have fitted them the same way as Lefty where as others have fitted them the way I thought may be correct.
As said though, the outer veins is not always an indication of the internal direction, and it's doubtful that a reputable indy would mess up such a simple task...I would still give it a check though Lefty!

Had a look and it seems fine!
On another matter, what do people think about subtle prodrive stickers?
I can't quite decide, I think a small, subtle, offical prodrive sticker on the back wouldn't look amiss. Or possibly a slightly larger one on the top surface of the wing.
My RB5 is a Prodrive edition and has a Prodrive sticker on the back and also indentations on the rear wing for Prodrive. I think it looks fine as long as its not too cluttered. On another matter, what do people think about subtle prodrive stickers?

Hey do you have any footage of your track days?
Maybe a stupid question, but just an observation...
The Evo above has the brake calipers at the front of the disc, the P1 has them at the rear of the disc. Does this affect the orientation of the discs at all?
Not sure if the brakes are on the right way round or not and no idea how to tell, but wanted to ask this anyway.

Mine is the same but I would not have put them on unless they came standard on the car, but then I just hate stickers unless they are meant to be there. For such a cheap car they offer a huge amount of ability on UK roads.
I bought a 6 month-old mk v golf r32 in November 2009 for about £24k. The following month I bought a '99 impreza uk turbo for £1400 to use as a winter shed. After changing the shagged dampers the impreza was a much better drive than the golf!
They do have some negative image issues but that doesn't bother me one bit.
With an all-in budget of £10-15k I can't think of another car I'd rather have than my p1. It's perfectly suited to my requirements and location.
Go on, do it!
Cheers,
Lefty

Seconded, after years of modern hot hatches (thanks to a company car budget), I have bought a RB5 and haven't looked back.I bought a 6 month-old mk v golf r32 in November 2009 for about £24k. It's so full of character and is such a great drive I don't more modern hot hatches, not to mention it can wipe the floor with pretty much all of them.
Fuel economy is a bit scary though

Dyno run last night prior to engine rebuild, 345bhp and 307lb/ft
Good effort! I'd love 320-345bhp! So after the engine build what are you expecting?Lee

I've been in the EVO FQ400 and the power delivery was terrible, once it got going though the performance was quite epic but I didn't like the engine characteristics of that car at all.
