Nothing dramatic, Knocking noise, pulling to the left, vibes through the wheel. Can feel there's a lot of play in the shaft frown

Not an expensive part, just a pain in the ass!

I see a P1 occasionally on the A96 heading into Dyce/Aberdeen in the morning, is this you by any chance?

Could be but I don't normally go by the a96, usually head down to Alford and in to ABZ on the 944...

What do you drive?

Will keep my eyes peeled all the same! I've got a MY00 Classic wagon.

Likewise! Are you going in the same direction?

Obviously it's sonic blue, on white oz's at the moment, with a white knockhill sticker on the bootlid wink

Mine's dark blue on silver, but soon to be gold wheels smile

When I take the scoob I'm on the A96 to Dyce, normally take the train instead though to save the wallet!

Depending on how much boost you are planning to run, it should make 400 without any trouble.

Any news on the driveshaft? I will soon have a complete 'box and running gear from a P1 available if you need anything? Going by your posts and the companies your using, i presume you are in Aberdeenshire too?

Thanks but all sorted now. Yep. Aberdeenshire here. Sort of between Insch and Rhynie. You?

Do you gave a p1 too? I know a fella in Aberdeen who has one and seen two others around the town.

And a shot from Knockhill:

Just ordered an adhesive front plate to go on the bonnet to give the intercooler a better chance...

A bit illegal, maybe a little chavvy but functional nonetheless...

I had a P1 front fitted to my old STi4 in conjunction with a FMIC, my solution was to fit an adhesive plate (using 2.5" characters instead of the standard 2.75") to the lower section of the bumper, I drove it like that for 2 years without a single pull from the BIB.

A slightly more elegant solution than sticking it to the bonnet IMO.

That is very smart, tastefully modified unlike a lot of the 90's Impreza's that are still out there.

Thanks, that photo was actually taken in 2005 and I sold the car in 2006, maybe 2007. Still to this day it's holds the record for the longest time I've owned a car, bought in Feb '00 when it was 18 months old.

It was running an AF 20g but on a RCM built 2ltr not a 2.5 torque monster the OP is going for.

Thanks, I really wanted a P1 after seeing one at the Earl's Court motor show in late '99 but at the time the they were financially out of my reach so I had to settle for a 18 moth old STi 4 even then for a 25 year old was a stretch.

The brakes were Brembo's from a bugeye STi, I had them rebuilt and powder coated Yellow by Godpeed.

Always liked the p1 probably my favourite impreza after the 22b. I like the Irish rally cars swinging number plate solution dont think it would work on your P1 tho not sure theres enough room.
