I've done a car history thread before (see here: car history) but I figured this one deserved a thread of it's own.

Pictures aren't great, but away to Ireland for a week so will hopefully get a couple of good ones while I'm away.

Collection day:

First fill up. I'll be getting friendly with my local petrol station...

Does the dog fit?

In its usual home on a rainy Edinburgh street. Girlfriend's X1 behind...

Couple of nice ones in the sunshine today...

Lovely, lovely car!

I think that blue suits the F21 shape very nicely and I think they are a very handsome car. I will look forward to your updates and pictures that follow.

Enjoy! thumbup

I love these, really keen on them. Is the driving experience as good as the hype?

You have gone down in my estimation by also having an X1 in the family, though...

He does not have one in the family, his girlfriend has one, so not family (yet). tongue out

For some reason the rear heated element impresses me!

Car looks really nice. Not 100% on the wheels, as I think they are the same as on most M-Sport wheels and they could do with being a bit chunkier!

Lovely car, stunning colour! I do like the way BMW hand over their new cars, nice touch. It does pain me though, to see a nice car like that parked on the street. A car like that deserves a garage, or at least a driveaway....

Enjoy.

Looks awesome - have such a soft spot for the M135i.

Not sure about the silver effect wing-mirrors though.

I'm a big fan of the new 1er. Coming from an E39 driver that says a lot. Only driven lower power models, but found the auto pretty good. Yours looks lovely, these are much better as a 3 door.

Are any other wheels available for these? Tried speccing one on the BMW configuration thing but couldn't see any others.. :/

Love the colour of that. Was not overly struck by the 1 when they first came out but think yours is swaying me.

Does yours have that 'orange peel' paint BMW seem to have been doing a lot of these days?

Lovely!

But has there been a facelift already or is that just an m-sport body kit?

I remember heaving when I initially saw the current 1 series! hehe

Nice. Not the best looking car ever (!) but has a certain charm and cool factor.

Think I'd have to de-badge mine if I had one. Extra stealth and that ///M badge just reminds me of all those patheticly sad 'M Sport' diesel 3 and 5 series out there.

One of very few modern cars to have caught my eye. Performance per £ is fantastic. Be interested to see how Volkswagen price the Mk7 Golf GTI and R as this little BMW would eat them for breakfast.

Enjoy your new car OP. Great colour too.

looks well , the new 1 series took me a while to get used too

can' t stand the black bit on the bumper from the numberplate down. I assume it has a purpose but it just spoils the whole look of a great looking car

The mk 5 Golf had it and it wound me up every time I was driving behind one
