can' t stand the black bit on the bumper from the numberplate down. I assume it has a purpose but it just spoils the whole look of a great looking car
Wrapped in carbon fibre however... scratchchin

I love these, really keen on them. Is the driving experience as good as the hype?

You have gone down in my estimation by also having an X1 in the family, though...
I'm hugely impressed with it. As has been said elsewhere, there isn't an awful lot of steering feel, but it is astonishingly quick, sounds fantastic and rides very well. Haven't really had a chance for a proper back road blast yet.

As for the X1 - she is is a doctor and needs to be able to get to and from work in various places in all weather, and likes BMWs. It does the job just fine!

It does pain me though, to see a nice car like that parked on the street. A car like that deserves a garage, or at least a driveaway....
Sitting on the street does it no harm!

Nice!

The X1 looks around the same size though - is that perspective, or about right? redface

Very nice.

I keep seriously eyeing these up, certainly very appealing and rather bargaintastic. Still do too many miles unfortunately so I'll have to stick with my E91 330d. When/If that changes I've got my ideal M135i spec'd up.

I'll certainly be keeping an eye on your thread to see how you get on with it. smile

Want one of these so so so badly, stunning car!
Can't help thinking the wheels look far too tame though and like off any other model in the line up? but the rest... stunning.

I think they're really good looking. A HUUUUUGEE improvement over the previous model. Enjoy!

Looks amazing, out of interest what spec did you go for e.g Manual or Auto?

Lovely car, want one. Although I think that blue is very bland.

Interested in how it drives?!

Edinburgh? I was in a couple of weeks back and the sales person told me about a blue M135i they'd just sold. Not sold on looks but must admit to being intrigued by the engineering...and that price.

Does yours have that 'orange peel' paint BMW seem to have been doing a lot of these days?
It Hammerite mate. It's an optional extra, much like 'frosted' finishes. My M3 is the same. Can be rectified...or you could just drive and enjoy it.

Really not a fan of the looks (sorry!) but sure it's an absolute hoot to drive and I do quite like the subtle, non-shoutiness of it. With that M135i badge removed it'd be a bit of a sleeper really smile

Really hope in 3/4 years time I can pick one of these up for around 15k and have the money as to me it seems the perfect all rounder and makes all the other hot hatches seem hideously overpriced...

Dont mind the looks either especially from the side smile

Really nice car.
Only issue for me is that they are going to sell them by the bucket load. I like my cars pretty exclusive but still could be my next car.
Currently have the coupe version which is a great car especially with a few tweaks so can only imagine what these will be like with a few mods ...

Fortunately no pictures - it was hideous!! All sorts of yellow bits on the inside too.

Thanks for all the kind comments - it's proving to be a fantastic car to live with. Will get some more pictures up at the weekend from some recent adventures.
