Very nice !!
What are the silver thingies where your thumbs go on the steering wheel ?
Gear change button, for use when the automatic gearbox is set to 'manual'. There are two on the front of the steering wheel and two on the rear. One set change up and the others down, I can never remember which. I've used them for about 5 mins in the year I've had mine. The standard 6-speed box makes a good job without having to overide. What are the silver thingies where your thumbs go on the steering wheel ?
Good luck with the 38mpg around Town OP! I average just under 30 and get over 40 on a run. Yours looks superb in black with the Sports kit. I have the old f*rts SE version, it rides beautifully and is a very nice place to sit. The rear entertainment package helps there!

I have had my 730dSE for a few months now.
Bluefin remap has given it a bit more urgency .
Just put the old Sprint booster I had on my old M5 and this has made the car feel immensely quicker.
I know it is not (no more HP) but it damn feels like it. A slight stab on the pedal and the car takes off.
Detractors will always say just press the accelerator harder, but it is nice to just give it a little squeeze and the car takes off.
OP enjoy your car. I am still enjoying mine after a few months. Might even keep this one for loinger than 6 months!

Are these affected by the 'keyless thefts' issue? BMW tried telling me that they are not, allegedly despite the key being the same they reckon the CAS in the car is different. I doubt it, but does anyone actually know?
Apparently they aren't affected. BMW told me the same thing and there's nothing I could find online to suggest that E65s have been stolen without keys. yellowbentines said:
Do you know the history of this car? I ask as SF registrations are usually Strathclyde Police or Fire, chap a few doors down from me is a Fire chief/Marshall something or other and has an SF plate S-Class in similar stealthy-barge spec!
SF is area code for Glasgow registrations. If Strathclyde Police or Firebrigade register their cars, they'll carry that prefix. Yes, every CID Focus of the last few years was flat red with an SF56 plate, my 1.0 Suzuki Swift was an SF51 plate. Its not specific to Police or Fire depts.Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
