I think the colour of that floor is spot on; certainly bright enough to cheer you up when the build is fighting back!
you can get garage floor tiles in gulf colours
heres one i designed using tiles for a double garage gulf porsche no 20

Well I have started! Managed to get a couple of evenings in the garage and this is the results so far...
As you willl see the painting of the wall has not happened nor has my workbench been built but I have got a temporary bench which was my late Grandads so a pleasure to have and use and may even stay as I'm getting quite attached to it.
Then on with the build...
And started fitting the front panel, not quite in there yet though.

Update time . Getting there slowly but surely.... Not sure how long the pics will last as about to exceed my PhotoBucket download limit!
Bit annoyed with myself for setting the first rivet at the wrong end of the panel therefore ending up with an extra rivet in a daft place on the upper front corner:thumbsdown: should have just left it out really but too late now...
Steering rack in....

What sort of rivet gun do you use to do this? Probably not the one from down the local DIY for £4.99 I assume?
Now that's a coincidence, I was the last poster on your thread too.....But in answer to your question, no. I bought an air powered one that does all the hard work with the squeeze of a finger, I would need arms like Popeye to do it manually for all those rivets.

Very, very nice
Do all the ally panels come pre-cut and folded where required?
Thanks and yes they do, thank god, but they do require a lot of work to get them to fit right. Pretty much every panel requires every edge changing in one way or another and there are no instructions luckily Southern GT are based near me so I can pop in and look at some other cars to see where I'm going wrong..Do all the ally panels come pre-cut and folded where required?
Any way here's today's work:

thats looking very good and straight work.
do you also use some glue/kit as some extra stiffness and seal for the chassis between the sheets and the chassis?
Thanks Yes I use the CBS equivalent of Silkaflex polyurethane adhesive to bond all the panels and he rivet them, believe me that stuff sticks like st to a blanket, thankfully no mistakes yet ...do you also use some glue/kit as some extra stiffness and seal for the chassis between the sheets and the chassis?
