Good choice! I've got one as a company car. Since april I've done 30.000 km's in it. If you're thinking about changing the wheels, the 18" Vancouver wheels were a factory fit option on GTD's here in Holland:

Are you going for a genuine VW tow bar? If so, can you post up some pics when you get it?
Yes those are the wheels I love. Think there some of the best looking alloys around atm. But like you say OP painting the black parts of yours silver will be a big improvement imo. Lovely fleet!

I wouldn't lower my car as I don't see any point, but am quite tempted by a remap. 215bhp/400nm sounds good smile
What sort of performance figures (0-60) does the remapped version achieve?

Not sure.

I still prefer the other wheels. I don't like the black bits on those alloys. Will get some new ones after Christmas, had too much of an expensive month so far! New car, new bike and new watch, I'm now skint! The Vancouver ones are the ones I'm going for though smile

I like those wheels a lot! Prefer them to Monzas on the GTD I think!

It's not a genuine VW towbar (I wasn't aware they did them?). My local VW dealer just send all their cars to a trailer/towbar place near me and charge markup on it so I'm going direct to them. Saves about £80 and is still all covered with VW warranty etc. I'll post a pic up when it's done smile
I see. I'll have to figure out what the lease co. wants. Usually it's genuine VW parts or parts via their chain of suppliers.

Well after one week and one day of ownership the Golf is going. I couldn't stand the dull drive and wasn't a huge fan of the manual gearbox (I love DSG!).

So it's being replaced with this as of next week:

I just don't think I can do sensible!

Cheers smile

I drove past the dealers last week and spotted the colour. I fell in love instantly! More than I can say for the Golf hehe

It's a shame though because the Golf was actually a very good car. It just lacked something, it wasn't the speed. I think it was the noise and the way it delivered the power that I just didn't gel with.
