Looks great.

The e21 is way more popular in the UK now. There are at least 5 that I know of, that are having extensive restorations. biggrin

Yeah, that growing popularity can only be a good thing too.

Both in terms of available parts, and vehicle values smile

After 4 weeks and 6 days, the shell has returned, with fresh Topazbraun Metallic paint

The sun is out today, and it really shows off the warmth and depth of the finish.

I'm over the moon, tbh!

Can't really tell in a photo, but the flake pop is awesome! It almost looks like it has glitter all over it.

Smoothed front end.

The doors, wings, sunroof and bootlid will return next week

More progress today:

Headlining out.

Painted up the metal on the interior, not perfect, but it sits behind carpet, so it doesn't really matter.

Rear lights cleaned up with eraser, then waxed with FK100p and fitted to the car.

My mates RS Clio 200, 35 years between them smile

If I may ask, how much was the respray? Did it include sorting any patches of corrosion?

Best regards,

Fantastic cars these, especially the 323i. You have to remember that when these were new they were not far off being double the price of an equivalent Ford or Vauxhall! Beautiful looking and wonderfully put together cars, I love everything about them.

Please don't 'stance' it too much! I can cope with a modest drop myself, but still think they are best as standard.

Well done for keeping another classic on the road, it's looking fantastic. Love that colour!

Stunning little cars the E21, love the period colour. Will you be displaying this car at the BMW show at Gaydon later this year ?

Huge soft spot for these E21s and 2002s, and most BMWs of that era. Whereabouts in Manchester are you? smile

Saw an E21 in this colour this weekend just gone, beautiful little car with so much character. It's funny how E21s seem to be getting more popular all of a sudden, they were quite overlooked until recently....
