Please put LCI rear lights, Prefacelift ones look dire.
I think 'dire' is a bit dramatic. They tweaked it! Looks great, love the project!
Pre LCI Darklines make a HUGE difference, i have had them on 2 of my 3 E91s

you are mad! in a good way. When I was selling my last car one of the potential buyers turned up in an E36 tourer that had M3 bumpers and running gear.

Awesome stuff!
I really look forward to seeing this progress.

With regards to pre LCI lights, a set of darklines sorts them right out. Currently got a set fitted to my E91 330d.

Id love an M3 or M5 Touring, if only they made them... one would of drawn me away from the high performance Audi Avants I think
What about an E60 M5 touring wink
E61 M5 Touring. Only made 222 for the UK market:

Is that a 320d SE base car? Impressive transformation haha
No the base car is a 325i SE touring. The tailpipes were cut off and welded downwards to clear the rear bumper like on a VW Golf

I agree re the pre LCI lights they are not the greatest design that BMW ever came up with. The Darklines are a big improvement and I was considering going with them, however I will be fitting the LCI tailgate and lights.

Love these kind of builds!!

I did a few replicas as first cars few years ago

106 gti,started as a base 1.1
Megane 225 sport

Never did the running gear on the megane so it stayed as a 1.5dci but looked well lol

But seeing the pictures brings back my body shop days memories and how I will never miss that sector of the motor trade!! But made me appreciate the work that goes into a good job and the prep etc!!

Some seriously high standards of builds out there.
The work that went into the E36 M3 Touring was unreal.
The e46 lives deep underground in the "M" Garage smile
