I have a 2001 Boxster S with pretty much all the suspension replaced with uprated parts. I used the KW V3 coil overs with 996 GT3 ARB on the front and Tarrett Engineering on the rear. I also replaced all the bushes with poly and set the alignment with a decent amount of camber. This is about as low as you want to go and keep it as a road car, there is another 10mm or so in there if I want it but it already is tricky on speed humps etc.
I went a bit mad when I built it and installed GT3 brakes, a Carbonetic LSD, Schrick cams and various other track goodies. A build thread is here:

It goes really well, but I got distracted by us having a baby and me building a Toyota Mr2 race car this year so it hardly got used. I think the Mr2 will go up for sale and the Boxster resume its track duties in 2013, they are really good fun on the track and much more capable than their reputation suggests.
Have fun!

No sorry I don't, ping me direct if you want to know anything specific.
There is some old stuff I posted on 986forum but if you are interested in a Boxster it's worth signing up on Boxa.net, there are a few projects on there and lots of info. There are also usually a couple of Boxster group track days per year, again I didn't make it this year but plan to start again in 2013.

Moose, select the top half rather than the bottom then cut and paste it as a new Layer. You can then move and trim as you like. Much easier.Out of interest how old are you?
I'm planning to either mothball or sell on the 928 in a few months and pick up a project 986S. Will keep a very close eye on the sussie work you do.

Im a huge fan of the original 2.5 Boxster. Although a touch under powered, there is something very pure about the clean and un-cluttered original shape and interior. It really harks back to the smooth curves of the 356 and 550 spyder and it's simplicity appeals to me in the same way the original MX-5 does. The clean look of the smooth front end without the 'S' centre air intake really suits the car as does the lack of centre console inside the cabin. It has to be original ambers for me also, just adds a hint of retro chique to the car. I believe these early basic cars will become quite a classic in the next few years as the latest boxsters become larger and more complicated as with the 911.
Standard alloys with a slight suspension drop works pefectly!
Lovely car op, just read all of the thread and I must say yours looks great in Guards Red! I am seriously considering a 986 over a VX220 N/A over the next few months as an upgrade from my MR2. I just can't believe how little they cost for all that engine and chassis you get! Due to lack of experience and insurance purposes, I have decided that the 2.5 or 2.7 engine would be the one for me. From what I have seen at my local specialist, the servicing costs are what I would call reasonable and certainly not extortionate. Would you recommend one over the other or are they both very similar? Many thanks
Seriously considering one of these at the moment but the IMS issue gives me nightmares. I have looked into DIY'ing it and it doesnt seem that bad if you have time, space and some basic skills. I only have the basic skills at the moment!
Whats your opinion on the IMS issue? Do you intend to change it?
Cheers
