Thought I'd share my Megane and some future plans for it over the next year or so ..
Its a Cayenne Orange 2010 Coupe.
I have under my wings a few parts for the car however seem to be taking pride on the floor on the garage as they are still awaiting painting/fitting.

Why not just buy the RS if you are building a rep? surely by the time you've bought all the parts, painted them and finally installed them you'll not be far off the price of an RS?
I'm 21, insurance companies computer says noOk, I'll put you out of your misery. You are planning to modify your car to make it look like a more sporting model. Therefore it is more desirable and you are a greater risk to the insurer as they think you'll try and drive it like the more sporting model (their view not yours). You need to call them and get a new quote with the mods, otherwise you're possibly going to be uninsured if you have an incident (or a tough-but-fair copper checks you documents during a routine stop).
Edited to add: IMO your car already looks pretty smart. Save the money and wait a year.

But I thought RS did a diesel version of the 265

No there is no diesel version of the 265. The most powerful engine is a 2.0 Dci 160 (now 165) bhp engine. You can have that in GT line spec and the chassis is developed by RenaultSport but its not quite the same as the proper RS.But I thought RS did a diesel version of the 265
As above, this car is far too nice to fiddle about with when you could wait 2 years and have the real thing! Plus, as aforementioned, insurance companies may charge you even more than for the equivalent RS model with all the mods declared that you've got planned! So I'd ring them first before you commit to any big changes!
