Not really anywhere near the standards to most cars on here but thought I would post up a few pictures for anyone interested!
Sold my Fabia VRS a couple of years ago when I moved up to Manchester for a year, needed a car for when I came back down south and decided to go for a 182. I had one back when I was 18 but it was short lived with the price I was paying for insurance etc.
Found a nice Black Gold, full fat with both cup packs and reasonable millage (50k). It didn't have the belts done, I purposely bought one without them done so I could get them done myself and be confident they have been!
I changed the exhaust to a jabbasport stainless steel one as the original was on its way out as they have a tendency to rot. I have done the little mods such as silver vision indicator bulbs, bosh aero twin wipers etc.
So here it is:
I took the rear seats out, small weight saving but it also saves me being designated driver!
I have since taken the old badges off and replaced with the clio 200 renaultsport badge which updates the rear of the car a lot but I dont have any photos of that at present. Also had the car mapped, doesn't really feel any quicker but its a much smoother drive and has improved the notorious lumpy idle.
I dont really have any further plans for it as I am looking to change the car at the end of the year.
All comments and criticism welcome!

Yeah insurance can be a pain, only paying £500 now though. One of the only advantages of getting older!
I do love the 197's as well, lovely cars.
Not 100% set yet, the contenders are between a S2000, Brabus Roadster (aware of all the flaws but still love them) or if I can save a little more then a s2 elise. I just dont think Id be comfortable handing over more than 10k on a car!

Yeah they are fairly similar - The clio is faster but the Brabus has epic handling.
Driving in the barbus is more fun as you feel the ride so much more. You are low down and the engine is behind your back so the noise is great.
A lot of people complain about the gear changes as being too slow but once you work out how to use the power delivery they arn't bad at all.
The engine is great but very highly strung so you need to look after them - Servicing every 6000 miles. It is worth doing as during the service they will reset the gear actuator so gear changes feel sharper.
Go for a notch back rather than a glass backed one as it is lighter. Also I think they look better.
Tyres are quite hard to get hold of and Mercedes seem to keep stock but they are mega expensive from them.
if you turn off all the driver aids you can have a car that is tail happy but you have to be careful of the power delivery. the gear box is technically a 3 speed with an extra 'bit' - not sure what it is called but essentially 1st gear and 4th are the same, 2nd and 5th and 3rd and 6th.
This means the power delivery in 1st is the same in 4th.... that's what catches people out. also, if you run it to the red line it will change up once it has bounced on the limiter.
My old one is currently for sales in portsmouth. I bought it from them with 30,000 and sold it back to them with 69,000 miles on it. they have now bought it back and its on offer with 79,000.

That's brilliant thanks for all of that, I test drove an 80 before which was a very fun drive bar the gearbox! But as you say it will most likely be something I get used to if i do go for one!
Pictures work fine for me kazee, what colour 182 do you have?
Thanks baron
Unforunately I still can't see your pictures, must be my end! Pictures work fine for me kazee, what colour 182 do you have?
