BMW E36 M3 3.0 project
Discussion
That's a good one, as said by others way too nice to track.
Tracking is making good straight ones rarer at almost the same rate as barrying them nowadays imho. I had a right bd of a job finding a good, straight one. Come to think of it, the green one bmthnick had was probly the only other non botched one apart from mine that i looked at, out of over fifteen cars.

Great cars, sold mine for an e46 smg as i was struggling with manual after a bike accident, wish i hadnt as the 3.0 was far more fun for little money

Is that one Daytona Violet? Looks identical to my old 3.0, I loved that car.Mark
OP your car looks mint, any interior pics?

This is a second car and will be used for fun so if the ride is compromised with coilovers which i will get set up with road and track use in mind then it wont matter that much to me. I ran a clio cup on HR coilovers for 2 years and it was fine on road with a sensible ride height. We haven't ironed out the plans for the brake cooling yet but I will ensure the look is kept pretty much standard.

My first;
And my second;
Really do want another. This one looks tempting;

But I probably need to scratch the E39 M5 itch before I revisit E36 M3's.
What's the running cost like on one of these? None of the newer M cars interest me at all but I love these. Viable alternative to something like a decent 944, or RX7?
I have to say I agree this one looks almost too nice to track. Interesting BMW got the suede/leather the wrong way round!
