Been out working on the Supra for the first time in 6 months this weekend. Nothing too exciting but here's an update:

Tidy up the pipes to the catch can:

Another dull but pressing job was to swap the wiper motor as the old one was knackered and after dismantling, greasing and rebuilding the old one it still struggled to complete one rotation with no wipers attached. I got a spare off a mate, swapped it and they are back to 1990 standard (still seem extremely slow compared to modern cars).

I then decided it was a good idea to tidy up the wiring loom and get rid of all the unused connectors. I thought long and hard about whether it was worth the risk of snipping through the wrong wire but I decided it was:

(sorry not the best pics as I didnt actually take a 'before')

Don’t think I’ve saved that much weight even tho there seemed to be a million wires, but it is so much neater. I still need to sort out the wiring for the gauge panel because they are a mess but one step at a time….

I put a coat on top of the instrument panel so the sun doesn't reflect off it and blind me (altho this still happens on the scoop!) and I thought I’d give the boot a fresh lick of paint as it was scratched from throwing trolley jacks etc in there for track days

So nothing particularly exciting I’m afraid but all important jobs to get it ready for the track day in August. Next job is to sort the anchor points for the harnesses so they are horizontal. I'm also waiting for some new brake pads and fluid. I may even then be in a position to tax and drive it smile
