What an awesome car, love how respectable it still looks, yet its hiding so much underneath!!

Hat's off to you!

Top notch! I hope to achieve this quality of finish with my interior.

Certainly one of my favorite cars on here, deffinately my favorite impreza. Well done mate, long may you continue to enjoy it.
That's a serious claim as it's on probably the best Petrolhead forum in the world. Thanks very much smile

Thanks to all of your comments. Much appreciated. The interior will change quite a bit over the winter.
Hopefully the car will have a whole new look for next year too. Maintaining its subtlety though I hope smile

Y'see, if they were all to this standard I'd have more time for them.
Those I see are typically boy racer/barry boy types held together with good intentions and gaffer tape with massive drainpipe exhausts.
Top marks - well done that man. thumbup

Unfortunately you're not wrong.
They have become a victim of the ultimate performance bargain. The market is flooded with cheap rubbish parts from the Far East and bolt on tat is aplenty.
They're pennies to buy but not pennies to run and modify properly.

Maybe one day (probably when I'm about 90) the good ones will be worth some money? Lol.

You've built one of the only Imprezas I have ever liked. I feel a lot of people could learn from what you've done and the method you've chosen to go about it. I love that the car is precisely the dream of what an Impreza can be. Please keep going.

Please keep humbling the exotica in the way you do, it makes great TV!

One other thing I particularly liked about the thread you mentioned - you own this car outright and won't ever buy it unless you can afford it. Good on you, excellent example!

Bit the bullet, knocked up a quick bracket, going to trial it here.
I may even make a small hood for it.

Work in progress, and I know this will split opinion.
Will be sanded smooth and flocked inside and out to blend in with the rest. Taking a gamble but I think this is gonna look pretty cool.

I've made a speed camera wink

Awsome car, very impressed with the both the thought and application of the mods on the car... Bet it's a devastating machine on the road.

I've just had a look on your youtube account, where has the video of some unnamed, unknown person driving a similar car to this one (but definitely not this car wink) behind a Murcielago on a PH run gone?

That's the one! You don't have get some nice cars on a southern PH run. The North east runs used to have a 350Z, some MX-5s and that sort of thing, despite being on the doorstep of the quietest roads in the country, there never seemed to be much exotica, or any at all.

Yeah we have some fantastic machinery down here and a really diverse mix of cars.
Our last one had everything from an NSX-R, to a Muircielago LP640 down to my daily whip which is a Clio 182.
All fantastic guys that are really enthusiastic for everyone's ride, no matter how exotic.

All new prototype Intake ducts are well underway. Still got a way to go to get the angles just right but it's getting there. They're much much bigger than the previous intakes and should feed the oil cooler and wing box far more efficiently.

Should look pretty aggressive too.

Sorry for the rubbish photos, it was getting dark.

Something that's been bugging me a while is that the Syvecs calibration switch comes with a numbered sticker.
This sticker eventually starts to peel, or if like me you want to move the rotary switch, you need another sticker.
Today I made up a small brushed stainless plaque and laser etched the numbers on.
I didn't bother writing a program for it, or punching out the disc as it would bend. I just done it by hand but I think it's come out pretty damn well.

Even etched Syvecs on the bottom...
Tart biggrin
