Operation Slim-Fast is underway.
Lost the light tonight so stopped there. Already lost a decent crate full of stuff.

All quiet here what with house and wedding planning.

However the car is 75% ready to go in for some treatment and work on the prototype fog covers continues. These are just mock ups for now and don't represent their finish once completed.

Something that's been bugging me a while is that the Syvecs calibration switch comes with a numbered sticker.
This sticker eventually starts to peel, or if like me you want to move the rotary switch, you need another sticker.
Today I made up a small brushed stainless plaque and laser etched the numbers on.
I didn't bother writing a program for it, or punching out the disc as it would bend. I just done it by hand but I think it's come out pretty damn well.

Even etched Syvecs on the bottom...
Tart biggrin

I hope it goes up to 11.

Christmas has come early for the Bomber this year. It's taken me a bleedin age to save up for these. Huge thanks to Alyn @ AS Performance for the superb service as always.

Now to get my front APs refinished in red for next season.

My rear Brembos are also for sale inc genuine Brembo discs and almost new Performance. Friction pads. £275

Did you have to sell your interior to pay for your brakes?

It's funny how many Subaru's end up going down that route. So are you going to keep it road legal or go track only.

Make the most of the cold weather, the sound proofing seems to come off easier when it's chilly.

Still an absolute arse to get out. But yeah I'm taking advantage of the cold weather.
She's staying road legal, I don't want a track only racer. I want to build a Subaru GT3 if you will. wink

One of the most exciting Subarus I've ever read about - mainly as it actually sees the road! Plus it lives in Essex (bravo!!)

Keep going, very exciting!

Thanks dude.

This is as far as I've got today.
The sack of sound deadening alone was 10.2kg. Which I was quote surprised about.

Something ive wanted for ages but never found a solution was a front splitter to fit the Prodrive edition front bumper. I've a few ideas and the first one of those ideas arrived today.

Genuine WRC dry carbon composite tarmac lip. Think this could look pretty sexy riveted to the front end.

Trial fitted the WRC splitter tonight.

No doubt this will split opinion, also have a UK300 splitter on the way. Quite like this though, looks aggressive.

Just need to order some black alloy fasteners for fixing it.
I looked at some sexy titanium ones but it was gonna be serious money for those. Lol

I made a splitter for my WRC Focus out of rubber strip from a flooring shop. Sorry to say this but that splitter won't last 5 minutes on our winter pot holed roads. frown
