Still more coming out.

Standard seat rails gone, seatbelt reinforcements gone, basically every unused bracket and fixture is slowly coming out.

Here's how she looked last.

However she's been on the back burner for the last week as a rather well known rally drivers body shell needed finishing off and getting in the booth. I've posted some photos of the shell below.
The exterior still needs colour, but the underside and inside has been finished.
If mine comes out half as sexy as this, I'll be delighted!!

Work can now fully commence on mine this week.

Not read every response so sorry if this has already been said OP, but as I live near a scooby clinic I can safely say, that has got to be the lamest exhaust pipe ever fitted to a Scooby! 5/10 must try harder!

Car looks awesome mind!
You mean it's the only one that you've seen without a Barry boy rocket launcher hanging off the rear bumper? Lmao.
It was custom made for me by Matt @ Simpson Race Exhausts.
To me, it's absolute perfection. wink

Same as it was before. I just service it and add fuel. It's usually on its 525bhp map, mainly because I cant be arsed to mess about with meth and it's plenty pokey enough on the road as it is.
It's in a stock GT3582R. Nothing fancy, makes about 1 bar in 4th gear at approx 3700rpm on the road.
Holds 2.1 bar flat to 8krpm.

Lot of work though, fair play.
I love the way it looks, brutal and ugly. That'll do for me.

Sounds good, I want to keep mine standard location (I guess you've gone rotated?) and don't want to go that big, I think an MDX321V or an Owen Developments GTX3076R would suffice for my needs. I would like minimal lag but maximum punch, I think this combination would suit the car well.

Still, bet your car is like a rocket even on your "Low" Powered Map.
Depends on what sized & spec motor Ivan.

Truth be told, i could achive my power on a billet 30R and id quite happily drop to a smaller turbo and have a bit more response.
I like the moderate reliability & flexability of a sub 600bhp engine, so now im dropping weight to up the performance.
There will always be somthing out there faster than me, but i cant afford a Supercar.

I enjoy the fact i built it and it keeps up with most exotica without issue. Not many supercar owners have that satisfaction. smile

Hard to say to be honest as I don't know where I started.
All I know is an OEM car in stock trim weighs 1480kg.
I hope to be sub 1350kg once complete.

As my previous comments, I loved this car the way you had finished it before. I've been wincing a little bit each time I saw you putting up pictures and removing parts wanting to shout stop! I'm now starting to become convinced this car is going to become even more Incredible than it was previously. A car which I'm sure you will be very proud of when it's finished. I hope you continue to enjoy it. - keep up the good work. It's a fantastic bit of kit.
Thanks very much.

It's always a bit of a scare ripping apart a car of which most people see as finished, and it was very much a complete package. But cars like this evolve though many stages in their tuning lives. It's a huge step for me as I'm still convinced it can be made into a really nicely finished package, even as a stripped out, caged road racer.

I really hope I can pull it off. I've no doubt in my mind at the quality of workmanship by DM Motorsport. I hope it will be quote special once I'm done, I've still got so many ideas for it yet. biggrin

Big progress today. Cage was dropped to weld the tops and the screen got its corner gussets. Tomorrow the centre cross will be boxed in to the swan neck. But still my favourite part to come and they're the WRC a pillar gussets. biggrin
