Nice project!Engine currently removed so i can repair the shell
I had a hand in designing that "lump", mainly the plenums, EGR system and the injector manifolds.
Designed by a team of 6, initially as an "after hours" project, whilst doing "proper" work the rest of the working day!

I assume the copper pipes and yorkshire fittings are for the rear mounted rad? I dont see why people have an issue with that, theyre perfectly acceptable in home heating so why not on a car?
I think you'll find you home doesn't rattle along the road at 70(+) mph and not many home radiators will be operating at 110degC either, meaning those solder joints had better be good.......Thanks lads, not far off installing the engine now !!
Wobert, good work on the plenum etc. this engine was one of the first as it was a development engine but had damaged valves when i got it as the belts had been removed and then the crank rotated ( lots of bent valves.)
Kev i,m home from 5.15 most days,
Sorted the odd running out, it was the 4 injector plugs on one bank not making contact,
Had to take the inlet (thanks again Wobert) off to get to them though.
Solder in the yorkshire fittings melts at 230 deg. so not worried about that leaking.
Should i fill the cooling system with anti freeze or central heating inhibitor ?
