It's my understanding you don't want too much valve overlap on a boosted engine as the cylinder charge ends out being blown out of the exhaust valves.Edited by 007 VXR on Saturday 16th March 12:17

DING DING DING! You're right on to it. I could run more lift but I;m happy where its at. Trying to get some good runs in tomorrow at the pod. Today was all rain wormus said:
Mine's an LSA, same as yours but with ported LSA heads and a GT9 cam and a TVS2300. Spooky eh?
...My IATs are very good though. About 120 deg F.
Weird how your both getting almost the same results with an almost identical engine albeit different chargers!...My IATs are very good though. About 120 deg F.

If the 2300 is maxed out at this power how can the 1900 match it unless its being heavily over driven? Bit confused!!!

Indeed although I have nice cool IATs and my blower is not overspun. Not quite sure how the 1900 is even close but it's a good number. The 1900 makes lots of low end torque (150lbs more than mine) but less at the top end. What boost are you running? One other thing, mine measured 824hp on Peter Knight's engine dyno before it went into the car. Wouldn't read too much into the HP number, it only tells part of the story.

So in theory your set up will give cooler temps and be more manageable lower in the rev range giving a similar power from the bigger charger. But could be overspun and pushed to a higher figure if you so desired? One other thing, mine measured 824hp on Peter Knight's engine dyno before it went into the car. The 1900 to get this power is running harder and hotter, 150lb's extra low down is a massive chunk to deal with however!
Both impressive results to the say the least regardless which way to look at it, interesting how to get the numbers from different set ups.
Yea I'm pullies down so I'm spinning is faster than factory. 16 psi through my custom exhaust. It can still be spun harder but with meth as IATs would climb. On the street, my IAT2s hover in the 70* Fahrenheit and shoot up to 117ish at the end of a WOT run. Yup, a 2.3 will work less to put out the same power and keep the temperatures lower. I know not to look into the dynos too much, they vary a bit. I did run an 11.5@126 yesterday on my first run at Santa pod. Pretty bad 60ft as I bogged. I wasn't able to make any corrections due to rain. Ill be stopping by on the 13th to get some decent runs and a more aggressive map.

Still sounds like you are having a great time and with a fairly stock motor too. I found last year an overspun TVS really lets itself down over the mile, I saw 200 deg F intake temps which isn't good, just turned into a heat pump. 11.5 sec isn't bad in such terrible weather!200*? Damn dude. I do have a massive heat exchanger which helps a lot! I haven't ran the mile but haven't heard of anyone getting THAT hot. If my car ever got that hot I'd be running 3* timing. It's a given though, the smaller blower will create more heat just gotta fight back. That being said, I'd like to get out and run the mile. We're gonna go back in a couple weeks to Santa pod on a RWYB. Hopefully is dry this time
