With cars as spectacular as this one, it still rankles with me that those idiots at Top Gear instead showcased an unprepared car and took the piss out of it. They knew it was a wrong 'un. But, they feigned innocence for the sake of a few laughs.
Morons.
And breathe.

Thanks for all of the +ve comments on the car and the build.
Dont forget to thank my wife and family as well, for allowing me the time in the garage to complete the task! Without their support it wouldnt have happened...
The wheels will always be an issue for some, as I said this car is in no way attempting to be a replica, if t were then it would have had coffin spoke wheels. I have intentionally done things like the wheels / duct in the bonnet / engine etc so that it is obviously not a replica, sure the body is a copy, but I am not trying to fool anyone into thinking its origional.
Power wise you need to have some respect for the go pedal, its a stratos, so easy to spin, but drive it sensibly and the power is useable. Straight line, once its moving, it dosent spin up the rears, so traction is pretty dam good. Of course if it rains its a whole different story, but thats partly don to the Toyo 888's.
I hope to get some more video soon & I got an in car video camera for xmas, so that should provide some interesting footage.

Tremendous!
What inspired the paintwork?
The paint work is based on one of the color schemes the stratos was seen in when rallying - namely the olio fiat one. The lettering has be changed to Incorporate my Initials & the Kit, it being a "corse"What inspired the paintwork?
I also changed the wheel colour as I hate white wheels

Congrats on building another. Must have been hard after the last got destroyed by fire.
Awesome car!
It took 10 years for me togo with the second one, but I cheated slightly by buying a finished one, during the rebuild I ended up doing far more than I had planned, so it would have been as easy to start from scratch. The big advantage of having a registered car is that i didnt need to worry about radiuses etc for the SVA...Awesome car!
for example the panel catches on the side of the car & spring clips on the lamp cover... not sure they would pass....
