Picked the car up from AET Motorsport earlier this week. New Crank Sensor has fixed the problems I was having. I witnessed it on the Dyno while I was there and the power is now up from 475WHP to 492WHP and at less boost - thanks to some tweaking of the mapsmile

Great build. You,sir, are a legend.
How do you find the pwr charge cooler? Have you used it for long-ish times? Does it keep eficiency high?
And last, where did you buy?
Despite not a huge market i seem to find a lot of chinese fakes. And not many reviewsfromactual owner of barrell cc....
Thanks

The charge cooler seems to perform well. At least it did during the mapping where they had no issues with the inlet temps even when making repaeated power runs. As for on the road or track with extended use, so far the car has only been driven on road, so I cant really give the cooler a hard time. I plan to do a track day at the end of the month, so will be able to report back more after that.
I bought direct from http://www.pwreurope.com/, they also designed and supplied the Pre Radiator for the system, which is just as important & recommended the pump flow rate and pipe sizes..

If you have a front engined car, then use an air to air intercooler, as it will always give a better efficiency (apart from the initial start from stationary)

Thanks i'll check with pwr...
Mine is rear engine, hence no air/air, unfortunately. I do have one but with latest rebuild and going closer to 400bhp that air to air is not going to work well!

I dealt with a guy called Andrew Parker who was verry helpfull. To make things easy to assess, I took my car there before I fitted the turbo and let them have a look so they could advise on what i needed.
The biggest problem is where to put the radiator at the front & how to get the pipes to it (25mm diameter)

Mine is lotus exige with forged audi engine and bigger IHI turbo. I know where to pass the the pipes, and there is enough space for the cc on top of the engine. There are already some (well, one) bespoke system, but once vat is factored in it gets close to 2k.

Can you disclose how much the pwr kit did set you back?

thanks

Its no big secret smile
The 6x10 barrel cooler was £590
The pwr designed one off pre rad was £756
I use a davis craig ewp 115 which was £180
Then had a swirl pot made £80

Then on top of that I made my own pipes and probably 16 or so silicon elbows
So that would be close to 2k......

Wild spin there! Perhaps a demonstration of both why the Stratos was so feared and respected as a rally car in the day, and why the Stratos and 037 ended up being replaced with a more stable mid engined car! I can attest to the glory of a mid-engined turbo machine, as I enjoyed my MR2 Turbo immensely. Obviously, not quite as quick as this beast though!

That's very very nice.

One little question, the rear lights, what are they?
The reason behind asking is I'm building a GT40 replica and they typically use Stratos lights as they're nearly identical to the originals but I'm after a set of LED tail lights, ideally with the same pattern as the GT40/Stratos (ie indicator in one half, stop/tail in the other with reflector in the middle).
