1991 Citroen BX GTi
Discussion
The mk1 BX (the one with the small, orange front indicators) had that type of speedo as well as some controls on a pod type thing at 10-2 position of the steering wheel.
Like this, see there are no stalks:
On the mk2 the Peugeot / PSA influence got too much and they used the ones like in my car. I am pretty sure that my speedo, rev counter etc. are the exact same as the 205 GTi and probably others (405 Mi16 perhaps?).

Ticked over to 280,000km yesterday. Accompanied by ever increasing illumination of the STOP light which makes me think something LHM related is afoot. I'm crossing my fingers and everything else that nothing bad happens in the next weeks as I need the car to get around here and there.
Apart from that it's running alright since the new fuel pump.

Fairly epic APK (Dutch MOT) failure was experienced some weeks ago. I neither have the time or lust to fix her up so she was sold on Saturday to a bloke from the Dutch Citroen forum, same place I bought it from.
It was an interesting 3 months with the BX, I learnt a bit about LHM suspended cars and was reminded by it why I want a newer, and better screwed together car. It has also whetted my appetite for another hydropneumatic Citroen, but that will have to wait, probably for a very long time.

Just wanted to add a link to the thread on my Golf which replaced the BX back in June 2013:
