Was not a barn find was supposed to have been restored 2 years previously to when i brought but it was a crap restoration and a wreck. As for colour it has been changed with the dvla and i have the v5 back saying blue on it this was done before car even got painted.

I have taken 4years to restore this hence the gap in mot history.

Engine is just a standard 1.9 producing hopefully close to 130bhp but this is one of the jobs im sorting as when i built engine looks like i broke a ring and it went unnoticed until i ran car and was burning oil so engine is out again at moment but going back in at weekend.

A super motor car.

Worth a FORTUNE I expect, at somewhere like 4 Star classics.

That's terrible news! This thread has been a big inspiration for me and my 106 XSi refresh!

Hopefully it gets sorted out with insurance and perhaps you could buy it back and fix it?

They've got to write it off for it to be able to be 'bought back' ...
