Loving the air vent idea!
Had to come up with something, I was a mess haha

However I am thinking I may fully remove the heating pipes and put in aircon pipes instead as I do have an aircon unit under the dash. I might do that next spring if I dont sell it. As I have the compressor as well ,just no pipes and condenser.

Another year, another MOT done. Had the car on the road 4 years now and to be fair I don't spend as much time on it. Probably time soon to let it go to a new home and someone else continue the tinkering.

New rear lights purchased to be fitted. Ford GT in style but with an optical illusion of depth.

Don't do it! You'll regret if you sell. I'm hoping to see this at Stoneleigh this year - looks a good car.

Youre probably right. I will tax it and use it and then decide whether to keep it or let it go. What Dates Stoneleigh this year?they always do it around my birthday and then never make it.

I'll dig out where I got them from over the weekend and post on here

StoneLeigh looks like it's a weekend later than normal, so there is more of a chance this year that I'll make it!

So these are where I Originally was going to purchase from. I could only find them in america.

https://www.raneystruckparts.com/4-round-stt-ptc-m...

I've bought the grommet, light and wirinr connector. The reason I didnt purchase from there was shipping took it to high.

So I actually got them off ebay from the links below, I then added the grommets for it and the wire connectors to my basket (don't do buy it now) and then it gave me a total including shipping all things together and import tax paid and it was a lot cheaper.

There are two sizes, 4" and 2", mine are the 4" ones and they also do coloured lenses (red / yellow) or clear lenses for both, which is what i went for.

Grommets (x4, if you want more or have less lights they do other listings)

It is always the first Bank Holiday Weekend in May, which varies by up to 6 days! I don't know how the date is set (maybe something to do with the Moon?)
Someone will enlighten me/us I'm sure nerd

Got the car out of its hibernation.

  • A brake reservoir is leaking so ordered a new O-ring
  • Found a loose connection to the headlights
...and Lights finally fitted. I had to redo the wiring a bit as the new lights left me with too much slack in the engine bay. One annoying this is the LED's are drawing a lower amp than my current LED indicators so they don't flash. An easy way to test this was to put the hazards on and then they do flash due to a higher amp draw when both sides of indicators. So have ordered a couple of 25watt load resistors as that will get it to flash.

The hazard flasher is designed to flash at a set rate regardless of load. I've always assumed this is so that if you have a smash at least whats left will continue to work. The indicators are designed to speed up as they break so you're aware than one has failed, hence the problem with LED replacements.

Any updates on the beast? Wondered what happened to this, i.e. did you sell it or decide to keep (I hope you kept!).

I've just discovered this thread because of the unfinished DDR on ebay at the mo. Cool looking cars.
