The ZF 6 Speed box is ok to just over 1,000NM apparently. The 967NM figure was correct at a point in time, last time it was on the dyno it made 908 IIRC. Loads of the C6 RS 6's have been mapped by MRC to 900+ NM, and not one has had a gearbox failure. The cars are bulletproof, even mapped.
Dancing with the devil now then! smile

This is just excellent smile

I think if you take Audi's quoted weight of 1865kg and the power of this car, it makes 404hp per ton. Mental hehe

Is that the sound of you falling over with excitement, or the likely sound of one's head smacking the headrest under full throttle? wink

Yes, then bigger turbos and intercooler, then sells it to me at a huge loss in a few months time. biggrin

This is just pointless. Its just to get you from A to B you know, And it won't get you there any quicker.

Oh, hang on.

Standard turbos and intercoolers.

Pre-cat delete (still passes an MOT with Audi), Milltek, high flow filters and the stage two MRC remap.

I'm not expecting the gearbox to blow up, not heard of a single gearbox failure and quite a few are putting out over 1,000nm's now... If it goes, it goes, it's a risk you take when tuning a car I suppose and I'd just replace it, it's already had 50,000 miles at 960NM and doesn't miss a beat... Will probably get a box oil change at the next service.

Good lord that's a beast. The power to weight is in the same league as a 458, 12C and 599 GTO. Mental, and I want one in estate form.

Look from the graph that with some new turbos that can hold boost a little later you should make MASSIVE power! smile

can you get these to rev to 8k?

Ive been planning a twin turbo BMW V10 engine in my super car project (which is very light hence I need revs for power rather than torque) but I've been thinking Audi V10 may be a better proven unit at this power (I want 1000bhp).... be fantastic if i could just modify the RS6 unit to rev harder to make the power

Hi I've just bought an RS6 Avant (V10). I've had 2 previously but the latest has had a REVO remap to 703 BHP.

It's not as quick as V8's obviously but the grin factor is still amazing! It is so quick all my mates do is laugh! In any gear, at any speed the smallest gaps become huge. 100 to 140 comes up in seconds. I don't know how quickly, because i'm concentrating too much.
But if you want to just cruise around town, it's just as happy.

I'm sure the new RS6 is even more accomplished as each variation seems to be.

If its a similar engine to what is in the R8 then it should be able to. after all the R8 engines revs to 8.5k doesn't it? Might need the R8 cams and intake manifold though?

There are 1,000BHP units around, they don't rev much higher, though, there's no need for them to.

Here's a graph of MRC's 1,055BHP tuned example.

I'm not sure what your super car will weigh, but my two ton RS 6 is almost too quick to comprehend on public roads, you don't approach a corner, or object, you've already gone way past it.

Awesome cars

I'm only 722bhp and 899nm....lol

Audi really went bonkers with this engine, last of a dying breed I'm afraid.

Considering the map tweak from MRC also.

As V8 says.....the speed is scary to be honest....but what a buzz it is.

Trouble is you need ceramics IMO my next purchase hopefully.

My super car will probably be as close to 1000kgs as I can get, my noble has 700bhp and is around 1000kgs so I'm familiar with the performance you describe lol

For my super car is want it to be a few steps on in madness :-)... But because of the relatively light weight I want it to rev beyond 8k so I can out the power down hence why I ask.

I'm not sure how related the v10 engine you run and the R8 NA engine... If the block and crank and heads are shared then I recon the audi has to be the way I go.

I wonder why you see so many AMGs and M5s, compared to these. I was pretty sure I was going to end up with an AMG next, but for our weather and roads, this just makes so much more sense.
