Finally received my new car today after a couple of months waiting time, new 2013 fiesta ST in "molten orange" paint colour. Got a great deal from the ford dealer i work at so it would have been rude not to.
Always been a big fan of Fords and Fiestas especially, my last car was a Racing Puma but it had to go because i was putting too many miles on it for such a rare car (W plate with 55k on it) and it wasn't the comfiest of rides, but i have to say it was the best car I've ever driven handling wise and kept up with a lot more powerful cars on the twisty backroads.
I owned a new shape zetec s fiesta for about a year in between three racing pumas but it just didn't have enough poke so went straight back to another Racing puma, always said i wouldn't sell the puma unless they made a new ST fiesta so when i saw there was one on the way i got my name down straight away.

I only got the car today but I'm grinning from ear to ear with how torque-ey it is and the grip in the corners already.
The recaro seats are extremely hugging and it makes quite a nice low down roar when accelerating.

Heres a couple of pictures of her in the sunshine, the paint sparkles so much in the sunshine but generally looks red when cloudy so I'm praying for sun all the time now. Not likely here in the uk! And excuse my thumb on the first pic.

Yeah its an ST2 with style pack (grey alloys, red calipers and illuminated scuffplates) and all the other optional extras, fully loaded you might say. I absolutely love it already, gonna get a couple of coats of polish and wax on it this weekend and then we will see how shiny it can really look.

Not a fan of white i take it?

There was a white one came into the dealer today aswell, it did look really nice but as everyone knows, every man and his dog has a white car still at the moment and i wanted to be different.

Heres a white one, pinched the pic from another user on heres topic hope he doesnt mind!

I don't mind white, some shades look quite nice and can look good on the right cars, but driving at rush hour these days, with all the white VAGs on the road is like driving through a sea of aggressively driven, soot-chucking washing machines! I suppose I could forgive a white ST, at least it's got a petrol engine in it.

Very nice, I've had a few Fiesta's in my time (still got one) and one with a semi Racing Puma engine in which I loved for the noise.

Any mods planned?

Nothing major just cosmetic touches like painting all the front lower grilles gloss black to match the large upper "mouth" and maybe (its a big maybe!) a small drop in ride height, 30mm maybe.
Will also be upgrading the headlamps to xenons as its got nice white led daytime running lights but the more yellow halogen type projector main lamps. Still no xenon option on the fiestas sadly.

Lovely smile

I had a Fiesta Titanium and the bought a Focus Titanium in Feb, but I kind of wish I'd waited and gone for an ST. The Fiesta is a fantastic car even in basic spec.

Now it's going to be a while before I can change again, and I've heard that a fifth of the UK allocation has been sold already, so I think I may have missed the boat on the ST frown

Still not a fan of the front end, but that's a lovely colour... look forward to seeing it in the flesh! Ford always have the best colours (along with Renaultsports I think)

Very nice - you were more brave than I when it came to the Molten Orange, as you have said in the sun it looks fantastic but not as good in the sun.

The Recaros just become more and more comfortable the more miles you do in them, I could quite happily sleep in mine!

I would be interested to see how it looked lowered, personally I don't think it needs it cosmetically and it certainly won't benefit from a ride point of view - handling is spot on!

BTW the white one above is mine - will hopefully be updating my thread soon with something exciting wink!
