Its nice, that one. I quite like the front end, robbed from Aston Martin granted, but looks good. It'll go nicely with the Mountune mods, if their recent forays are anything to go by.

Far as i know its 197bhp including the overboost with a 0-60 of 7 secs? I know its mine but i may be wrong

Its got 197bhp trust me, overboost comes on everytime you floor it for 20 seconds at a time.
Torque rises to 214lbft aswell, ford uk quoted the lower 180bhp to reduce insurance and road tax costs, whereas in the USA they quote the full 197bhp.

sorry - wasn't saying it doesn't ... was just posting up the headline figures

trying to find the overboost stuff on the ford site - its not clear though but the pdf brochure does show the higher 290 Nm of torque with a * stating includes "limited time overboost"

Its a strange going on, don't really know why they didn't just make it that bhp with no overboost but hey they must know what they're doing over at Ford.

All i know is its a little pocket rocket that will pull itself round b-road corners at great speeds!

Bit confused in this overboost though, when does it come on? and only lasts 15 secs at a time?

overboost has been around for ages...... gives an additional ECU controlled boost pressure hike for limited periods (e.g. overtaking)

means standard BHP is lower for insurance, engine life, MPG, CO2 etc etc

the EcoBoost engine is a fantastic engine.....

look out for the next version......even smaller cc engine with electrical supercharger that draws its power from KERS.

Comes in on full throttle and lasts 20 seconds. Long enough in my opinion as how often are you full throttle for 20 seconds??
Basicly the boost pressure goes up when you floor it.taking it from 179bhp to 197bhp, But then soon as you let off throttle you get another 20 seconds soon as you stamp on that loud pedal again so its all the time really.
