Thought some of you may like (or hate) my ongoing project.

Some of you may have seen some of past projects and last year i was looking at various things and "almost" bought an RS500 Sierra but quickly realised i would never use it along with things like old skool 911's etc.

This is a bit of a novel to read but it passes the time and ill update it as work is done on the car wink

I had a deal done on a F430 spider a year or so back but bottled it at the last minute after horror storys about when they go wrong so im over the idea of one of them.

Next up was a Gallardo which unless very new are just as bad and i just cant seem to get on with how they look.

Which takes me to my latest buy, ive never been keen on the R8 as i just found them so under powered and over rated.

That was until i had a blast in the guy from works V10, HOLY fk springs to mind, the car just goes on and on and is a whole lot of car that is up there with the best of them.

Anyway enough of my speel, the deal is done was done and a Sepang Blue V10 spyder was bought.

Its been a while since ive been this excited about a car and i dont mind pretending im a hairdesser with the roof down while i have the insane V10 noise behind me.

The car is fully loaded and has every extra available (expect ceramic brakes).

Dealer pic but you get the idea:

Some pics when i picked it up.

Daughter loves it.

Space required in the garage so something had to go bye bye S1.

Well slight update, i decided that i need to really get some miles done in the car so what better way than a blast around Europe with 180 other cars.

I am doing the Modball rally in June with the car, London – Amsterdam – Luxembourg –
Zurich – Milan – Venice – Vienna – Bratislava – Prague.

The whole Modball thing has seriously changed with some amazing cars lined up (15+ Lambos, 20+ GTR's, loads of 911s and so on) and i want mine not just to stand out but to also make the drive more fun.

180 cars are entered so it should be blast, we are doing it for charity and all money raised will go to Aberdeen NEO Natal unit for terminally ill babies.

First change was some Genuine OE which were machined and Diamond polished, crazy bling but look the part.

Car is now wrapped and work has begun to tune the car to within an inch of its life.

I really can’t thank Donald at the Vinyl Cut in Aberdeen enough for the wrap and the quality is insane, over the weekend and some 800 miles the car received plenty attention and dozens of pictures from the public, every single person thought the car was painted.

I could barely park the car without people coming over for a look.

The wrap I know is love or hate but it’s all about getting the car noticed and raising as much money as we can for charity, I love the stand colour of the car but it’s all about getting the car “out there”

The rap is done purely for the event and to get the charity and those who helped get it looking like this as much attention as possible.

The car spent Friday at Milltek who used the car to develop and fit their Super Cup non-restrictive race exhaust,, WOW its loud but I love it.

Its not insane annoying loud though, the only similar sound I’ve ever heard was on a tuned LP 570-4 Superleggera Gallardo and I even think this sounds better ( I would).

They guys at Milltek went out of their way to look after me, I spent the day in Derby and went to watch Iron man 3 at 10am while they had the car and I actually think I missed half the film thinking at what I was going back to.

I am like a kid at Xmas with the noise and I apologise in advance for any car alarms I set off and the constant downshifts.

Up the Revs the car just screams, I swear when I stared the car up at 6am this morning I actually jizzed.

Top job by Milltek, I really can’t praise them enough and they have seriosuly moved forward with not just their build quality but how they look after their customers.

The 1M is next for a race Milltek without a doubt.

The decals and wrap will be removed after Europe (10 counties in 7 days) but for now it about making the car stand out with looks, noise and performance.

Again i know the wrap is OTT,but its there for the event and event only and then the car will go back to its stunning Sepang Blue.

More to come wink

Bradley

wavey Seen you quite a lot the past wee while (I'm down at the beach most nights and hear you coming a mile off!)

The car looks awesome,, sounds awesome too.

Glad to see the Escort went rather than the BMW, not much a ford man here.

hope Europe treats it/you well, come chat if you're ever kicking about (red 200sx, white wheels)

I can't believe you sold the S1! Don't you know you supposed to build a bigger garage???

My two favourite cars at the moment (the S1 and the E10).

Was this the one on eBay not long ago as a project? Later engine and big bar steward turbo? My hand was twitching over the mouse to buy that car!

Dear Bradley

I see you are in the Oil and Gas industry. You've just cemented my choice of career!. Been ummming and ahhhing about where I would like to go after my PhD is done and O&G is one route I'm thinking of pursuing. Automotive was another providing I can get in at the right places (and not doing emissions stuff like I am now) and the third was a slight feeling that I wanted to work for Speedo doing research at their Aqualab in Nottingham.

With a garage like yours it is hard to argue against O&G!

Nah, seriously I wouldn't base a job decision off the back of what garage it will earn you. I do believe O&G will provide me with an interesting and varied career (if I get into some sort of role that requires a bit of research and experimentation). But seeing what can be earned with such a career certainly doesn't harm!

Love the colour of your R8. Far too many about in various monochromatic shades. There is not enough colour on our roads and I bet that is especially prevalent in Aberdeen where everything is grey! including the sky.

Is the Escort you are towing away in those pictures an RS Turbo? I would really like to have one of those one day and give it as a gift to my dad. He was one of the first people in Middlesbrough to have one and after being caught speeding (with me as a baby in the passenger seat) my mum made him get rid of it for a Mitsubishi Space Wagon :| Gutted! He said driving around in the RS at that time was as if you were Royalty. Everybody wanted a look.
