It went through an auction a while ago as well (I'm pretty sure it wasn't a repossession, the OP said on here somewhere he handed it back to the finance co).

It was for sale on PH for a long time wasn't it?
No idea. Only just saw the ad and thought I'd seen it before. Is 620bhp a bit optimistic?
Stage 2 is 595PS according to the REVO website.

I actually think it looks ok, relative to how some supercars look when you add a body kit. I'm still not buying the 500kg weight saving mentioned earlier in the thread though, you might get 1/5th of that if you threw money and lightweight parts at it.

The owners quote there makes it sounds like something terminal. Then again the shop selling now must be offering some sort of warranty though right?

Probably not terminal, more likely an imminent clutch/flywheel or something else which a warranty company will wriggle out of paying for on the grounds of 'wear and tear'.

A word of caution for anyone thinking about it (regardless of price).

Drop me a message and I can give you some info on why its at Thainstone(you will need deep pockets).

In a nutshell the car was at the end of its PCP and the best thing to do was walk (run) away from the car.

Ok nothing is terminal and everything can be fixed for a price but this sounds more than wear and tear to me.

Strange that it was on finance and modified so much, no?

Either way, doesn't look like there's much profit in it for the outfit selling right now...

That's what I was wondering. How do you modify it (particularly to this extent) on a PCP? I thought you had to pay to have the car to be in tip top condition as per factory spec at the end of the period?

"My R8 V10 Spyder with a twist"

Chassis, now that would be a bit terminal...

I dont mind it but that is a very narrow market they are aiming at, I dont think UK R8 buyers are that keen on body modifications.

Not on a simple hp deal where you own the car once all paid up. A few years ago - so not sure if still current - if you had paid over half the total or half the monthly payments then there was a clause where you could just hand back and back and walk away without any recourse.

This is all irrelevant if you still want to start modding because who will stop you.

This car was repossessed when it was sold at auction. It was not sold on the "owners" behalf. This is a fact.

The ex "owner" is a well known compulsive liar which has been demonstrated many times over the years.
This could be about to get interesting...

Oh yes - Keighley Trade / Motorhub really living up to their reputation! Surely anybody in the market for one would find this example questionable given the amount of money that's been spent on it and how that relates to the asking price..

Just noticed this on the ad "****RARE ONE OFF GRAND TOURISMO STYLE WIDE ARCH BODY STYLING KIT ******" hehe very grand tourismo indeed

Repossession makes sense as I know the OP is in the oil industry, and due to the the current oil prices their latest run around is a Pug 107

Alright mate, we get it, you don't think much of him.

I know I said I was watching earlier in the thread however I was assuming that the OP would reply in his defence.

You've clearly joined just to discredit him; casting accusations at an individual with no real evidence to back these up.

It's nono to name and shame businesses on here and it should be the same with individuals - especially when it's becoming personal with comments regarding his job and his marital status.

Leave it out please.

So is this summary correct?:

Man buys R8.

Tats it up.

Leaves his ownership

Question whether it was handed back to the finance company or repossessed by the finance company.

Owner States it's not in good mechanical condition.

Poster states owner couldn't afford to keep it and question his reputation.

Is that correct?
