Fun cars, i still regret selling mine
Wheels are made of cheese though and are damaged easily. How are the ones on yours?
Yeah i've heard they can quickly turn to resembling a 20 pence coin if a few potholes aren't avoided! So keeping an extra beady eye out for that.Wheels are made of cheese though and are damaged easily. How are the ones on yours?
Mine have been re-furbed by previous owner, in great condition, no sign of damage.

Really liked these remember when I looked into them they was no way of remapping the engine which was a shame
This has just recently changed early this year i believe, took them long enough, seems Brabus/Merc had the ECU locked down tight. That said, they do shift nicely as standard

Really that is quite interesting as always thought as they weigh near enough a tonne with circa 200 - 210bhp they could become a bit of a weapon! That said, they do shift nicely as standard
The car is looking lovely
And I know the last 2 owners and both of them really took care of it.
Mapping is available but me personally I need the "trust factor" with a mapper as you are paying for something you can't see. And an off the shelf map is not always the best idea for this sort of power.

Blimey bet that shifts, do these have the same woeful gearbox as the ForTwo/Roadster Coupe?
That Dyno is after a remap, that will really shift! I'm happy with how fast it is standard though...for now. They don't share that gearbox no, much of the car is shared with Mitsubishi Colt, so has the 5 speed manual box from that (as far as i know)
Wow that looks quick! I have a soft spot for these as I learned to drive in them, first few lessons in the 1l petrol then onto the diesel. I remember the syncro in the petrol gearbox had gone after 40,000 miles of learner abuse. Part of my 'turn in the road' procedure was punching the gear lever out of reverse!
The block is a really well used/tested/old one and has been proven in many jap cars (Mitsubishi Orion or 4G1 engine)
It's been through some changes including the addition of a turbo charger.
And now the post powerful version of it is in the BRABUS forfour with 177bhp as standard (DOHC MIVEC turbo 4G15T)
They are superbly spec'd cars and still look modern 10yrs on.
Only 287 came into the UK and still 274 still on the road.
This car can easily hold its own against cooperS, CTR, focus ST etc.
Best put a pic of mine up as well
And my day's 1.3 with BRABUS body kits and wheels and slightly lowered
