nearly there, looks great, gold works well with the blue. ( are the tyres staying?)
When is the release day ?
No to the tyres. It's going to have the right ones fitted and geo done early next week. Hope to collect it next Friday and then fit the Jenvey once has a few miles on it.When is the release day ?
Well we were just about ready for the MOT when the brake pedal seized and refused to budge. It turns out the master cylinder bore had started to corrode and the seals jammed. A simple enough fix but bad timing, as it meant we missed our slot. Anyway, all done and the cars booked in again. The brakes are a bit of an unknown as we replaced the whole system and redesigned it as we went, so that we lost any flex that used to come via the OE system with all its linkages and pivot points. The OE servo was ditched in favour of an aftermarket remote servo. It's just that it's the first time all these bits have been brought together in an E21, so I'm looking forward to seeing how they work and feel.
All being well and subject to the MOT pass, I'll be heading up with the trailer on Saturday to finally bring it home.
There are still a few jobs to do, such as the Jenvey throttle bodies and DTA management, but that'll be over the winter. Initially I just want to put some miles on it. I also plan changing the front valance for the early version. I should have done that from the off but I only just found one. They're incredibly rare,
The first show I get the e21 to will be Santa Pod in September I think?

Great build.
Thanks.I've been lucky with the people I've been able to use to do the work for me. Hopefully I'll have some decent photos soon, as these phone pics really don't do the build justice. The paint is a mile deep and a real credit to Mick @ www.pristinebodyworks.co.uk in Essex.
Thanks guys. I must admit, although it's taken a while, I'm really pleased with how it's turned out. I think the Laguna Seca blue really shows off the lines of the e21 although pictures just don't do it justice. It has a really squat and aggressive look about it.
The wheels look so much better than the original polished finish and definitely make the car.
Inside is just about perfect for me. Those Recaro were a steal at £200 and are mounted good and low, so I still have plenty of headroom. The Nakamichi ICE install is discrete and has a good clean sound. Mind you, the exhaust and Jenvey throttle bodies will sound even better.
I have just one problem and that's the aftermarket servo. It's not releasing the pressure in the front lines, so the brakes aren't releasing as they should. Hopefully it's a simple fix and just needs a replacement unit? At the moment I'm having to release the pressure by cracking the bleed nipple.

Sweet mother of Jesus, this looks fantastic. You have a real eye for the details. I'll be interested to see what you're putting out power-wise... for what it's worth, my 328i benched 245bhp and 228lb/ft just before I pulled the engine out. That had no mapping on it either- just bolt-on mods.
Keep up the excellent work.
