I've had an FRM2 sat in a cupboard for over a year, finally I managed to get it fitted today.
Thanks to having factory xenons I've now got angel eyes welcome lights, angel eyes DRL's, and the biggest surprise of all, they are no Bi-xenon too!
I wanted the FRM updated for the first too, but to get Bi-xenon too is a HUGE bonus, especially as I love it so much on my gf's Mini biggrin

Had my first problem in 2.5 years and 26k miles (apart from some rust appearing on a front wing), one of the rear callipers was sticking on.
My mate who runs an Audi specialist garage stripped it down, cleaned and regreased it which has solved the problem.
Its also had new rear pads, sensors and fresh brake fluid too smile

Very nice, great colour and great work on retrofitting.

Must admit looking at the pics I thought you were in the Oundle/Northamptonshire area, my Grandparents live in Oundle.

Always liked this car.

I sold my 330i tourer for exactly half your asking price in November so you'll be waiting for an real fan to get that sort of money. Granted mine as a petrol and no modifications, mind.

Good luck with the sale and would be interested to see what you get next..?

Looking on AT I thought Id priced it quite well TBH.

Mine has 125k, CIC idrive and combox, manual 330d Touring, xenons, hifi, heated leather, FRM2, 55 plate for £7500
In comparison on AT at the moment there is:

06 plate, blue manual 330d M Sport with 120k, no idrive, no xenons, no heated seats £7000
55 plate, blue manual 330d M Sport with 88k, old idrive, no xenons, no heated seats £8500
07 plate, black manual 330d M Sport with 120k, old idrive, no xenons, no heated seats £7900
07 plate, black manual 330d M Sport with 80k, old idrive, no xenons, no heated seats £9000
07 plate, blue manual 330d M Sport with 62k, no idrive, no xenons, no heated seats £10000

I'd say mine is quite a bargain considering the CIC idrive and combox cost the best part of £1200 to upgrade, FRM2 is another £150, xenons would be a massive headache and big £ to add, same with heated seats, mine also has the hifi speaker option which not many have too

Sorry, forgot to put, next on the short list at the moment are MK5 Golf R32 or Mk5 GTI Edition 30, Passat R36.
Ive never had a VW, and those all take my fancy at the moment.
No doubt other options will be added soon too!

The 330d holds its price well against the 330i then! Fair play to it. I was gutted to see mine go for such little money. It felt like such a better car than it's value denoted.

Having come from VAG cars, I'd not go back. Different beasts to BMWs IMO. I just picked up a new M135i. Not a rattle, squeak or noise in it. I remember picking up a new Golf years ago. It essentially rattled itself to death.

Cheers

Ive had 5 Audi's, so know them well!
As much as Ive loved this 330d, there isn't much BMW that takes my fancy, however a 135i would do but its out of budget at the moment.
Funnily enough, I have just been offered a straight swap for a red 335d saloon, but its not got the newer idrive or xenons both of which I think are essential especially after having them on this one.
I just fancy something petrol and fun again but really struggling to find something that fits the bill.
That said, an E90 or 91 335i with the right bits on would be of interest

Hardly anyone wants a petrol nowadays so the market will always favour the diesel, having owned both a E90 330i and 330d I can see why the 330d holds it's value far better to be fair.

You get similar performance but far better economy so it's pretty much a no brainer for most people to go for the diesel.

I finally got round to giving it a machine polish, the red is so bright again!
MOT tomorrow, then some new front tyres at some point in the near future.
Still thinking of selling it though, but struggling to find a good replacement
