Not much to report so far, apart from really loving driving it!
Yes, its not as quick as my RS4 that it replaced, but thats not the point.

I managed to give it a decent snowfoam, clay and wash today, I LOVE having a car with some colour again, my last 5 or 6 have mostly been grey or silver and it got a bit boring spending hours washing them for them to look no different!

Quick update on this. The guard arrived this week and went on yesterday without too much difficulty. The finish is pretty good, even with my ham fisted approach. Only problem was bubbles on the imperfect touched up areas, which I can see might cause it to lift a little sooner than hoped. We shall see.

Edit to add OP - loving the red!

Lovely lovely car :-)

Wheels look great IMO

I'm starting to think I will have an E91 330d msport in the future.

Epic car

Pretty much exactly what I'm after to replace my Octavia vRS. Out of interest, what kind of ballpark figure did you pay for it?

Sorry - should have added "if you don't mind me asking"...

I've seen a couple privately with 130kish on them for under £7k but ideally I'd like to get one with lower mileage and push my budget out to £8k or £9k...

I paid £9500, which is fairly strong money compared to some.
However, the spec was exactly what I wanted and very rare, then there's the colour which is even rarer still!
I'm 100% happy with it and think it was worth every penny.
There isn't a single car park ding, dent or scratch on it and the interior is totally spotless and unmarked with no wear on any of the seats or plastics

That is pretty good! Whatever I get, I definitely do not want another black car as long as I live!

That's a hell of a lot of car for £9500.

I forget what I paid for mine. Maybe £11000 a couple of years ago. Far smaller market for the petrol though.

Are you missing the rs4 noise though..?

I've debadged the rear and fitted some genuine BMW Dark Line rear lights, I'm not 100% sure on them yet, but time will tell!

Dark lines are a big improvement.

Needs tinted windows IMO now

I'm fairly certain this car was for sale at Culloden Car Sales a couple of years ago without the CSLs fitted, certainly a red 330d with cloth, nav and xenons anyway. The SY plate backs up my thinking to a point

Windows tints are on the list of things to do.
You've got a good memory, the first owner sold it through Culloden, I've spoken to the 2nd owner via the E90post forum.
It was bought new from the BMW dealer in Inverness

I got them 2nd hand for £110, I've seen then for £170 new on eBay.de inc p&p from Germany, or they are about £350 from a uk dealer!

I never clicked until your last update, I remember seeing it for sale and considered it when I was looking for one, the cloth interior was something I wasn't sure about at the time

Oh front mudflaps are a worthwhile fit too, really helped with the stone chips on my E91s

I sat in both cloth and leather seats before buying, and found the cloth ones were much nicer.
I knew instantly that I didn't want leather after that.
I was really disappointed with the quality of the leather too, and 60k cars I sat in had completely worn bolsters which really put me off too

Yeah I agree with you now, after owning 3 leather clad E91s of various mileages from 21k to 60k the latter highest mileage cars drivers seat wasn't wearing very well, albeit not as bad as some I have seen

The Dakota leather isn't great at all, and a retrim in Nappa was something I had in mind for that car.

The Novillo leather in the ///M cars is of far superior quality. Much softer and far nicer to sit in
