Looking dead smart.

I'm also firmly keeping mine. Any dreams of an m3 are now very shattered.

Looks much better now, and liking the dark lines.

My own thing to add, which bugs me on all cars, is mud flaps. I can see the rear seal guard to be of purpose, but I think it's to much on the rear, all IMO, so no offence intended.

I'm not offended at all, I would never fit them myself.
They were already on the car so I thought I'd keep them on until after the winter, especially as I live in the countryside and the roads can get very dirty living near farms.
They'll be coming off in the spring smile

Lots to update soon!
After deciding it was a foolish idea to sell the car and get an E46 M3, I thought about getting some changes done instead to make it even more enjoyable smile
So, Ive been rounding up all the bits for a full CCC to CIC idrive retrofit including combox (the bit that allows you to connect online, access Facebook/twitter, web radio etc etc.
So far I have: CIC headunit, screen, controller, armrest USB port, LCI glovebox, combox and full LCI CIC brushed aluminium trim set.
Just need to get 3 cables and the CIC emulator and it can get fitted and coded, I can't wait!

Ive also decided to swap from alcantara seats to leather, so next Wednesday I'm collecting a full set of heated black LCI leather including door cards.

So will have plenty of pics to post very soon! biggrin

I've always said I wouldn't get a BMW newer than an E46, but yours... yes. Yes. I could happily live with that.

I really liked the wheels originally, now they look even better. Darklines are also a good shout, I've got the same style on my old E36 Touring and they're one of my favourite bits on the car. biggrin

How does it sound? Any trademark BMW 6 in there, or is it mostly diesel-y..?

Idling its obviously a diesel, but nothing as bad as a 4 pot!
On the move it sounds good, and definitely has some of that straight 6 sound smile

Good work on the CIC upgrade, it's MUCH better than the CCC stuff you currently have.

You've made the right choice keeping it, I'm running my old E91 335d at the moment as my friend who now has it is offshore, when I went out the other day the choice between my E46 M3 and the E91 was easy, jumped straight into the E91 and I haven't driven the M3 since.

Maybe I'm just weird, but I far prefer the E91

Why the move to leather? Have to say I think the Alcantara is much nicer and thought you really didn't like the BMW leather seats.

Great car btw, perfectly modified IMO just get the tints and remap done!

I agree I think on the move it does sound good I have got a E90 330i and used to have a E90 330d and I think the 330d sounds more gutsy and meaty from inside when compared to the petrol, its only at idle you realise its a diesel.

Brilliant thread and I love all the changes you have made to the car.

I got offered a really good set for a very good price, so thought if try it. I do prefer leather in general, so worth a go.
I sold my alcantara too, so the cost to change minimal.
If I don't like it I'll revert back smile
Looks wise, black leather with the red paintwork should look stunning!

My pet hate, door cards! I must say though, they are a lot easier than some I have had to remove in the past.
All 4 swapped now, just the front seats to go

Wow that looks stunning in my opinion.
That really does look great, what wheels are they? CSL's? Wish these would fit my 130i but I think one's with correct offsets are hard to come by.
