It will take time for me to get used to the new diffuser. Hopefully it fits the look of the car.

Cheers for the feedback guys. Always helps to know that the car is looking tasteful. The Scirocco R might not be the only daily much longer due the impending birth of our first new born son.

Looking at a BMW M135i or Audi S4 to complement this car.

I will post pics up once the stuff I ordered from Germany (for the Scirocco) arrives and is installed. smile

Ps: The pics show up normally on my Safari browser. Hmm..strange.
Some cracking lease deals on the new 135 at the mo. Again the pics do not work. This time at home on work laptop with vpn engaged.

I think that looks absolutely fantastic. Really sets the exhausts off a treat.
Pictures are working fine for me from mobile and work.

Cheers for the feedback guys. I wanted the diffuser to look almost OEM built. Hopefully it heads in that aesthetic direction.

The vent gauge was made by the American company P3 cars and they are known for their well integrated multi-function gauges. It tracks boost, actual speed, throttle response an array of engine and oil temperatures and 0-100km times. smile

The whole interior console is being replaced by carbon fibre and I'll get some pictures when that is done.

So, the KW DDC Coilovers finally went in. The handling difference was as expected simply phenomenal. Coming from lowering springs, this was quite an upgrade. I approach turns at speeds I never imagined were possible in my humble Scirocco.

As for the ride height, I'm not really happy with the front. I was told by my installer that the exact height should only be dialled in after 2 weeks or so once the coilovers 'settle' but I've heard varying accounts of whether they actually settle in the first place. The plan is to get the front lowered significantly.

So a lot has happened to the car. I've had a new limited slip differential put in along with some other bits and pieces. The car has been re-tuned and it now achieves a decent 4.7 secs 0-100km/h time. A new turbo by APR is being installed as well.

My most recent acquisition: a new set of HRE wheels smile

Some really well chosen mods there. That is except for the 'diffuser', in my eyes. Looks odd...like a pair of teeth! As it also has no function, i'd probably be sticking it on eBay.

Thanks guys. The carbon fibre diffuser was a visual experiment and it was custom made by Boca Designs in Germany. I agree that it is not everyone's cup of tea. smile might revert back to the stock one in the near future for a change.

Cheers mate. Much appreciated.
...........

Activated launch control today for a 0-100km/h and achieved my best timing of 4.5 seconds. Really pleased. The limited slip differential does wonders in planting the power on the ground. The lighter wheels help too.
