Scratch built car
Discussion
Yep, this and the the bloodhound thread are my ongoing faves.
Can we get a 'general arrangement' photo? I wide shot of the whole car? I'm fascinated to see how the shape is being defined by the processes used. I'm an engineer by trade and swear by the gods of CAD so to see something crafted rather than slavishly following a plan (as I do) is a rare and special thing. Its a dying art.

Thanks guy’s
For those who can remember I put the first set of frames for the front arches onto the rear and made a new set for the front (first picture). Now I am working on the rear of the car the slope of the frame on the old arches looked to shallow and would not blend in as well with the rest of the rear panels so I made a new frame with a greater slope. Andy
PS (fatbutt) I am working on the rear side so I can get a picture of the general arrangement.

I post less than the OP, much less. But I have to break my silence to say I'm thrilled to see this being updated again!
Keep up the great work!

Don't hold your breath, I have a deep sneaking suspicion this one too is going to go the way of so many good build threads that never quite get to the end unfortunately...
OP: this is an open dare

In fairness to OP, he did mention earlier in the thread that he wanted to crack back on with this in winter once work was quieter and right now it's almost Christmas so he may have quite a lot to do elsewhere. I'm sure we'll hear from him in JanuaryOP: this is an open dare
It seems that many of you have little understanding of what it is like to have unpredictable workloads and deadlines. It is especially relevant if you are self employed or run your own business. Work has to come first as it funds these projects we love to follow.
Updating a thread like this ends up very low down on the priority, so we must have patience.

Absolutely. My car, a 'simple'engine swap, took me 3 years. What you're doing is an order of magnitude harder and for that you have an enormous amount of respect from me at least.Updating a thread like this ends up very low down on the priority, so we must have patience.

I'm happy to enjoy the updates as and when they come - what a great project Updating a thread like this ends up very low down on the priority, so we must have patience.

Hope you're well? Do you think you'll have time for a little update once Christmas is out of the way?
Apologies to everyone else for causing the inevitable oh-look-an-update circus, btw
Thanks for still having an interest in the project. Other commitments have delayed progress so no updates. I been looking at the design over the last few months and think it needs to be a bit more way out (all in my head). It’s interesting when you have been away from a project and then revisit and think changes need to be made, all good. Andy
