Nothing to do with the car, I just wanted to say how smart your house looks. I really like it.

No issues so far with the fuelling luckily.

What was wrong with yours to make you give it back after one tank?
Within the first week it became clear that the car was suffering from the infamous N14 'Death Rattle', Cam Chain making a lot of noise when cold, design flaw, very common in the pre-LCI Cooper S.

Off topic but I'm surprised how many other cars those kind of problems affect. I used to think it was just the MINIs but it seems several other BMW engines have chain problems, as do a number of VAG petrols and the Ford diesel fitted to Transits and London cabs! I've been wondering why manufacturers bother using chains at all if they are so problematic. You're right to get yours looked at as if ignored it ends up jumping and potentially destroying the engine frown

You're obsessed with winter wheels, man!
Get those on your Cloggy Gumtree and be shot of the ones you don't need. Surprised you didn't flog them with the cars that have gone - I usually do. smile

I was wondering where abouts in Nedelrand it was, although it all looks very similar to me.

On a separate note: 'kapiteinlangzaam' - what the fk?

Paint does seem alright on these, much better than the finish on the 335i Coupé I wanted!!

Unforunately, whilst in Halfords buying even more stuff to keep it that way, some mouth breather in a ratty old Fiesta dinged my door. furious

...so here's some handy owners experience, these large door panels are susceptible to marking, never park it. Anywhere!

Do you live East of Arnhem (Rheden-Dieren or similar)? This would explain why the architecture looks so familiar, as its the only part of the country that I am really familiar with.

2.5k miles since August? That's loads, ours has just been filled with petrol for the third time since May! It's off on Friday though, we'll miss it though.

Must be a common-ish fault, one of mine had the same problem when I bought the car in 2009. Replaced under warranty without fuss and both have been fine since.

The condensation is a common fault, I had the same issue on my 2007 Cooper S - I have the DRL's on my new S and love them biggrin

I'm about to take a really strange spec 60-plate One in part exchange for a Bayswater, totally basic outside, pea-shooter exhaust, no fogs, but 15" alloys. There's no Salt or Pepper Pack present, but it's got half leather sports seats, centre arm-rest, Multi-function wheel + cruise, and full Media Pack with USB, DAB, Bluetooth, Voice Control & Connected...

That's a pretty nice little car....I'm amazed at the number of options on it.

If I'm honest, I've never been a big fan of the R56 but was a massive fan of the R50/3 (I had three). Most of my mates used to rib me fir driving a girls car, even though my Cooper S was faster than most of their cars. I ended up in one by accident; I was looking for a new car and hadn't really considered one but I popped into the dealership closet to me drive a few and fell in love.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but they really got under my skin. I started with a high spec Cooper (not as good as this, but still really good) before moving onto a Cooper S which was replaced by a One when I changed jobs and was doing more miles. I really regret selling the S.

Love the X Lite wheels, probably my favourite design. I put them on my One (git a great deal too because everyone wanted 17's or 18's).

Not quite a Freudian slip in the correct sense, but amusing none the less. Are you still in, or did you come out? hehe
