A little more inspiration - this one sounds fantastic when running, I think you chose a very fitting name for the build!

Me too!

This is Thor, a sixties sprint bike that's quite famous and very, very loud!

I don't think anyone's posted the Charlie from PPC's Rover SD1 yet have they?

It doesn't really fit the theme but the work involved is something to have a look at.

That ran 4 Allison engines, not Merlins/Meteors.

So he does, missed that the first time round.

Still, awesome project and much better planned than my attempt (it's only in scale form though).

John Dodd is still running that 'thing' around the streets of Marbella and had it in a show a few months back

Ok, a few pictures as requested.

Very little to see really as most is in dire need of some attention.

This is the more complete engine.

The partially stripped beast.

Starter motor - big engine, big starter!

Various bits

Bentley 8 litre dif.

The play room!

Two boxes of dolly wheels ready for the start of construction.

Love this project!

If you have any need for some CAD work I'd be happy to lend a hand. I also have my own 3D printer so for any custom brackets, widgets, anything really let me know and I can knock it up.

This is ucking fugly wink

Wheels are too small, the whole thing is completely out of proportion.

Totally uninspired.

I have to say I agree that this is a rather difficult design to love!

I like the Blastolene Indy Special. Not into quite that much "shiny" though.

With regard to two engines. I recon it would probably weigh about 5 tonnes and need a totally different chassis and drivetrain. Also, if you listen to the youtube clip the engine note is not as great as a single V8. Part of the aim of my project is to emulate the wonderful sound of a Spitfire flying very low!!!!!
Besides, those two V8's probably still only have a combined capacity half that of the Meteor....
